Think it will be Valentine’s Day onwards we will see the new cars revealed. Saw this a couple of weeks back, looks like a full size mock of the 2022 Mercedes. Will imagine it will look a lot more different than that but these new cars will look pretty special compared to previous years. View attachment 35108

I think I read somewhere that Mercedes are reverting to their silver livery this year. Main question is will Hamilton be driving it.....?

Will they be banned from adding all those winglets all over the place that appear like malignant moles and ruin the look of the car as the season progresses?

The downforce is going to come partially underneath the car with ground effect, think it got originally banned in the early 80s. All of the extra winglets and bits in front of the side pod intakes are more simplified to reduce the dirty air coming off the car to make it easier to follow in theory, we will see in less than a month how it works in reality in pre season testing.

I just wondered because the artist impressions of this coming seasons cars look great.
But then they do every year until the teams start modifying them.

Would you say Wolff maybe trolling if he offers Gasly Hamilton's seat should he decide it's not worth it after the end of last season fix?

All signs point to Ocon at this moment in time, should Hamilton not return.

This is just the F1 prototype car photoshopped black with a Merc logo on. It was posted by Mercedes social media, but it's not their car - it comes from a photo of another one of the F1 prototypes which is why it's not quite identical to the shiny one.

Wolf did say they were going back to silver but lets be real, if it was an issue for Hamilton, they'd paint it black again.

I think the overall shape of the rear wing is mandated to be that shape but we'll see when they are finally unveiled.

Two races in The USA?

Is F1 really that popular in the states or is it because F1 is mainly owned by Americans they are trying to make it as popular as NASCAR ect?
Liberty Media want to play to their home crowd.

For balance I'd like to see to UK ones as well. Silverstone and...?

Imagine a Manchester street race. Seeing Mercedes jumping the speed bumps.

:)
