Was just wondering has anyone received scsm calls of late
Havent had any at home nor on mobile
Texts too
Was thinking as the new financial year will soon start will they ramp up again,?

Got one off "Amazon" about an odd transaction for an iphone 13.
I just asked "what the fuck would I want an iphone for?" Then I mentioned they might be trying to scam me and asked if they would like to fuck off.
I get one from "Virgin" every so often about my internet speed not being very stable and usually string them along for a while until I get bored.

A woman at work lost everything last week.

Recently moved house & was having problems with Virgin broadband that she'd reported to them...

Gets phonecall from "Virgin media" asking her about her issues & instruct her to download a signal checker app on her mobile phone to allow them to check signal in all parts of house. Was on the phone to them for 1.5hrs whilst they performed what she thought was legitimate checks.

Maxed her £9k credit card out, took her life savings and all the money for the house renovation.

Luckily, she's got the majority back from bank/credit card company...police and fraud squad said it's an inside job, staff in the Indian call centre @ virgin media selling on customer details who are having problems, to fraudsters based in India.

Third world shit holes are recovering from covid, some bloke from Islamabad called Jason/Simon or Denise as started to call me to tell me my sky internet has been compromised.

I've been getting 2/3 calls a day from an unrecognised number that's changing the last 3 digits daily meaning I can't block it. I've never answered it and never will but a quick Google of the number suggests its some scam based in Bolton. No idea how they've got my number which is the main concern. They'll give up calling me before they ever get me to answer it. its not really that much of a problem in truth my phone just vibrates for 20 seconds a few times a day whilst I ignore it. If anything, it makes me seem more popular than I am.

Get them all the time.

I’ve also even been sent one in the post recently, saying someone who has a different name to me owes them money and to call the number immediately to pay up.

I get them all the time but I assume it’s related to my financially imprudent past and humour it until they fuck off.

Hardly get any these days.
On a side note I love watching Scambaiter/Kitboga on YouTube wasting these fuckers time, and in Scambaiter’s case deleting files whilst his at it
Theres an American one where the would be victim gives his name as Kermit the Frog and the scammer believes him and Carry's on
Lol

They get found out all the time with their lack of American geography. One when asked where are you calling from, he said we are calling from California Utah lol
On a serious note theres a guy called Jim Browning who goes after them too on you tube
Hes really good
