Was my 30th birthday yesterday and I have woken up today feeling as though my best days are behind me. I am married and have 2 boys (6 and 2) and we run our own business so Im not worried in that respect. My wife keeps telling me how old 30 is (she is only 27) and it is has got me thinking.

Can anyone please reassure me that life is just beginning at 30!!

Wait until you are in your 60's mate, believe me you will think 30 is young

Don't be soft pal, 30 is young and you have your best years ahead of you.

I've been enjoying my 30s a lot more than my 20s. No sure whether it is down to greater disposable income which has allowed me to do a lot more (travel, buy a house etc). I'm just as fit as I was in my 20s.

Look after yourself and age is irrelevant.

Yep, you are officially old. Married with children means no more nights on the lash getting home at 3, but its even worse when hitting 30 ..... a hang over lasts 2 days, hair comes out of your ears (and nose), you dribble from your mouth and your dick. You forget what you were typi

After seeing the viral video of luang pho yai the 109 year old Thai monk, I would say 30 is but a mere early period of a lifespan

Between 30 and 50 you should have a blast. Take care of yourself though because life can catch up with you fast.

Life advice and it even rhymes. Happy Birthday.

Think that is the key. You need to moderate yourself more as you get older. This can actually be a good thing as less, but better planned nights out are far better than getting bladdered on a Friday because that’s what you do.

Wish I was 30 again, I’m 51 now and sometimes I ache getting out of bed, it’s not good trust me.

Ah, this is possibly where I have been going catastrophically wrong. Still trying to do moderation and I find it virtually impossible.

maybe you would view things differently if you were still single, no kids and no big responsibilities (i.e. running your own business).

30 isn't old, you're probably just feeling older because you're no longer doing what you did in your 20's.

I never felt old at 30 but I'm now 33 and feel really old. Pre-COVID me and my girlfriend used to be out every weekend and we'd eat out all the time but nowadays we are in the house most of the time. I work from home still and that's taken its toll too.

The last few years of COVID has made me feel like I've aged about 20 years.

I get less to no hangovers now I am older (still drinking the same.as when in my 20s too) though I get more aches and pains in the back and legs when doing a lot, also can easily have a power nap in the afternoon
