Russian invasion of Ukraine

The Once it’s in the system I hen it may well have been.

If you give me a tenner and I spend £8 that day on a bottle of cheap Cab Sav, it doesn’t matter if I used that exact ten pound note or not, I can rationalise the fact you bought me the bottle.
£8 cheap Cab Sav. You posh fucker

Just caught a bit of the UN session, how the fuck Syria & Iran have membership to a human rights council is a perfect illustration of how ineffective the organisation is.
They are voted on to it. A fair number of dodgy states get together behind non western states to keep the latter from asking awkward questions.

Serious question; what is it with all the African countries abstaining or voting against? Too much Russian ‘investment’?
Yep. Russia has cosied up to them in recent years building infrastructure in return for rare earths and other minerals etc. The terms of some of these deals mean that Russia has them by the sort and curlies.

Or source fossil fuel elsewhere. Don't cripple businesses and families with "green taxes" to disguise a procurement f*ck up.

If you rely on another country to source your energy, then you are always vulnerable to pressure. The obvious solution is to remove or lessen reliance on fossil fuels. As I said, no one is invading anyone for their wind farms.
