There was an interview with the miners asking how did it feel to be in a hellhole with a realisation of collapse and fears of a mental breakdown. Juan Carlos the foreman of that shift said " We took everything in our stride and made small goals every hour to get us through. I was in hospital and still recovering. Today I went out for the first time in 5 weeks so I’m getting there thank you. Won’t make any matches for a while though. My great grandson is going to his first match today and I’m gutted I’ll be missing it but his Dad says he’ll take photos for me.
Doc says it will be a long haul but I’ve proved them wrong before!! :-)

These social media commentators forget one thing about yesterday, the rags were away playing another premier league side who are fighting for their lives.

They have the sickening entitlement that they should 100% win away, it was theirs to win not Evertons to win, they weren't part of the equation.

Really sorry to hear you have been unwell EB, but glad you are on the mend. Was it Covid? Hope you are well enough to give a pre match rallying call? Could you do it early this week? Cmon City, Cmon John Boy

Will do. It wasn’t Covid although they thought at first it was. It was a blood clot on a muscle that made me swell up. So many people were coming to have a look one of the doctors said I should be charging them!! My doc just said you never do things by halves! *rofl* You've got to laugh.
They loved the fact that when I was asked what were the things I cared about I said my family and Manchester City!
 
Just as I was leaving work yesterday, I saw the only decent rag (former ST holder at the swamp), and had a dig about the score at Goodison.

His reply was, "You lot had better win tomorrow! It’s the least bad outcome".

"You mean the lesser of two evils," I replied.

"Yeah, that’s it?"
 
I love that the prevailing narrative at the start of the season was that Ronaldo was a pro and a winner and he could have nothing but a positive effect. Well, Rashford's form is so bad he needs to move on to somewhere like Leicester to recover, Greenwood is in prison, Fernandes is in a constant sulk, Shaw is definitely back to have a double helping of pudding, and Ronaldo is slapping phones out of the hands of kids. What an impact he's had.
