Fernandinho to leave at the end of the season

Genuine legend not just for City but for the Premier league. He's the greatest holding midfielder the league has seen and this will become an undeniable accepted fact once he leaves and fully gets the recognition he deserves.

This is also the right call, he's fit as anything, he's still got plenty of football left in him but not here. Will be a huge loss in the dressing room, we constantly hear from new guys and youngsters how he goes out of his way to make them settle, a true leader.

Hopefully he's back once he hangs up his boots, if not as a coach in the day to day running of the team then at the very least in a role with the inevitable Brazilian expansion to the cfg. He could become critical to us signing the best players out of Brazil for the next decade.

Wasn’t one of the main drivers for staying this season him & family going for British citizenship? Woukd be a shame to come up a few months short.

Dont know whether this has been discussed already, but surely hes the best and most successful Brazilian ever to grace the Premiership and by some distance.

David Luis, (even tho hes rubbish), Firminho, Gilberto Silva (Arsenal a while back), Gabby Jesus, Alison, Ederson, Berti Glauber probably will get a vote or two...maybe Mirandinha from the deluded barcode fans...

But I dont think theres anyone else who gets close to Dinho (or have I missed anyone)
You are correct that he is #1, but in Brazil people think that above the other names you mentioned, Coutinho is #2.

Incredible player who has made a huge contribution for us on and off the pitch including apparently inventing tactical fouling. Wasnt aware of him when he signed, other than the media reporting spurs had made a better signing in Paulinho....he soon dispelled that myth...now come on blue boys win some more for him.

He was recently back home in Brazil and that is bound to have made his mind up to go home.

A true City legend, who played such a different role at Donetsk, which tells you just how great he is.

You can't replace people like Fern, you just make the best of it.

The Manc Sicario has earned the right to leave on his terms, and hopefully with three more medals in his back pocket.

Any CFG jobs out there we could give him?

Fucking journos proof of twisting someones words to suit their agenda,he never said ,yea I'm leaving in the summer, and they couldn't wait to ask Pep,staggering 10 mins of reporter bullshit.

I watched it live, and they twisted it,slow news day and sky couldn't wait to get it along bottom saying he was going.

He may well go,but he didn't say that today

Has been a great servant to the Club.

I can understand him wanting more minutes at this advanced stage of his career.

He knows this is not going to happen with us, being a very successful Club playing Big games pretty much every week these days. Minutes will be rare given his age.

One of my all time favourite players.

I am sure the Club will arrange something for one of our Stars.

Well said.

Funny thing is it wouldn't surpise me that there is more people in Manchester familiar to Glauber than in Brazil
