Champions League Games 12/13 April '22

It is partly VARs fault that rules that have worked for a hundred years have been dumbed down and simplified for the digital football age.
It was correctly chalked off according to the new laws but it's a stupid rule change to chalk off goals because of an accident rather than cheating.
Rules haven't been the same for 100 years though, they've been constantly evolving and changing during that time. Granted they've changed more frequently since var has come in. it's not correct to say the rules worked beforehand, they didn't, that's why var exists. There's more correct decisions in the game because of var. The problem is the incompetent refs, take var away from them and we're just left with incompetent refs with no chance to correct their many mistakes.

Like others have said, would rather face RM if City go through. Chelsea, no thanks. Annoying to play

Not pre empting anything but **IF** we manage to get all the way to the final, would we be happier if Villareal can do a number on Bayern tonight and hopefully they beat the scousers in the semi or would we rather Bayern beat Villareal as having the better chance of knocking Liverpool out? That's only if you see Bayern as an 'easier' potential final opponent than Liverpool obviously. What we looking to happen in that side of the draw tonight?

All var is doing is allowing the incompetent refs to hide. People blame VAR more so than refs now.

Extra time would be good for Palace on the weekend…which would be good for us potentially.

I might be a pessimist, but I'd much rather lose to Villareal than Bayern or the dippers

You worked all that out yourself?

Real Madrid to fluke this one and either Bayern or Villareal to beat the Bus Wreckers. That would be my preference.

Werner going off was a bad decision from Tuchel, werners off the ball runs were causing madrid alot of problems.

the refs are better than they’ve ever been, they’re just under more scrutiny than ever before and every game is now televised, which was not the case even 10 years ago.

as race of football loving men these are the best we can train and produce. you would do much worse.
