Russian invasion of Ukraine

You mean besides cluster bombs aimed at packed train stations, phosphorus bombs, gas and many more I could mention?

Yes. As nasty as those are lets not act like they don't have even more devastating weapons that could end the conflict in a second. And a leader who has lost the plot and is being embarrassed on a global scale. Would not put it past him to use them.

Now is the time for caution putin will be fucking livid after the loss of their flag ship. He will need a big retaliation to seem still in control of this “special operation”

Watching some of the Russian television commentators, it’s clear they’re calling (and priming their population) for a further escalation. They’re furious about losing their flagship (so much for a fire), they’re furious about national leaders visiting Kyiv, and they’re furious about the continued rearmament of Ukraine via neighboring countries. Attacking Kyiv would be enormously risky with leaders visiting, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they attacked key junctions right up to the western borders.

Bollocks, the Ukrainians should/will keep doing what they are doing, it seems pretty successful to me. Caution just gives him time to regroup and cause more death and misery. If he is going to use more phosphorous bombs, gas or even nukes, he will. Caution will not win this war.

If too much caution was used to try and placate evil leaders intent on taking over the world we’d all be speaking German.

The Ukrainians and the western powers supporting them are doing the right thing in fighting these evil cunts. The visa shambles aside I’m proud of the support Britain is showing.

And the economic war is wrecking Russia too don’t forget, only a matter of time until they turn on Putin and he’s whacked by one of his own people.

I agree with the first analogy, but using that to interpret your last point, I won't be holding my breath. It will take some time yet for the economic sanctions to bite, and we in the West probably don't appreciate the effect of the propaganda and Putin's grip on the country. If he's forced into a mass mobilization, then the kopek might finally drop that his special operation is neither special nor an operation.

Ukraine for now needs to brace itself for retaliatory strikes in its interior, but it still needs to keep on the offensive in the east and punch and drain the Russian build-up.

Losing your fleets flagship must be pretty demoralising.

Among many other demoralising events in the last few weeks.

Seen a video of the explosion (if the video is legit) and any talk of everyone being rescued alive is laughable.

They have lost hundreds of sailors.

Don't believe those videos are genuine, but you're quite likely right that around 400+ lives will have been lost. Found this on a Turkish site reporting the Lithuanian defence minister.

"At 1.14 a.m., the cruiser lay on its side, and after half an hour, all the electricity went out. From 2 a.m., the Turkish ship evacuated 54 sailors from the cruiser, and at about 3 a.m., Turkiye and Romania reported that the ship had completely sunk. The related loss of Russian personnel is still unknown, although there were 485 crew on board (66 of them officers),"

Have to wonder if there were nuclear weapons on board? No mention of other Russian vessels coming close to assist.

Why the fuck are Turkey rescuing the cunts?

54 Russian survivors is 54 too many.

Assuming that's not rhetorical, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea creates an obligation to rescue anyone in danger at sea. Its Article 98 obliges states to require all masters of a ship to help anyone in danger at sea, so long as it does not also cause serious danger to the rescuing ship. I'm rather glad that Turkey fulfilled its duty under international law and didn't, cough, sink to the Russian level...

Still waiting for them to declare Moskva was at end of service anyway and is now used as an artificial reef to improve the ecology of marine macrofauna systems in the Black Sea.
There are fears that there were two nuclear warheads on board, which, if true, will do little to improve the ecology. As I pointed out above, I find it curious that other Russian vessels do not appear to have gone to assist.
