do you think Pep would have been as successful with us with Klopp's budget?

No, I don't. I think that there are far fewer players in world football that can play in Pep's system than there are who could play in Klopp's. Pep's system relies on technical perfection for it to operate effectively. Klopp's system relies on strength, pace and power. Fascinating clash of styles.

Very true, sometimes I feel we overplay and they have a weakness in a lack of technical ability in the middle of the pitch.

I do wish we were more direct at times, like the Sane, Aguero, Sterling team, devastating on the counter, hopefully with Little Alf next season that will return

Indeed. Also, where there are fine margins, I think the importance of injuries cannot be over-emphasised. For me, it was interesting how they collapsed without Van Dyke yet that was the only time in the last 4 seasons they had an injury to a key player. I still don't think their defence is all that. Even without a striker we have scored 6 goals against them but, due to their strike power, managed to concede 7. My takeaway from that is, to win against them in the CL, if we get there, we'd need to score 3 goals. A hard ask without players like Sergio and Leroy.

Again agreed, some luck/fortune is involved....but maybe Klopp is also prioritising and managing his squad better.
I still maintain we're a couple of players short in our squad, weakening it in January was stupid when we sold Torres and not having any back up plan. Liverpool have better strength in depth, I think we have to accept that

The media love in with these twats is worse than their love in with the rags in purple nose’s day! Will be all the more satisfying if we win the league and they fail in the UCL. The media were willing us to fail when we had the quad on!

Klopp is a hell of a manager but he’s had a lot of fortune along the way even this season ............ would he have been able to field the same team had they faced Athletico ????? Twice in the league this season he’s got away with results against you lot ..............and was anyone lording over him last season when his team where getting beatings for fun ??????? It’s ok being brilliant when things are going your way but the true test is when your up against it and last season showed that when it got tough he looked like a bang average manager

100% this
I don’t know how anyone is saying it can’t be done as I think this is very do-able for them . One slip up by us and the title is there’s and let’s be honest we can slip up at any time as we miss that many chances it’s embarrassing. In the final of the fa cup against either Chelsea or palace in which palace will probably win but they have both there measure and then pretty easy semi final for them followed by a final against us or Madrid and it it’s us then we have just given them a massive confidence boost because they know pep fucks about with final squads and will no doubt play sterling . believe me this is easier than us last season .

Get what your saying mate but that’s gone now and we are here at this time .

They both have different ways of playing, it does not make one right and the other wrong.

Sadly they have bought brilliantly and we could learn a lot from the way they do, do you think Pep would have been as successful with us with Klopp's budget?

As a football fan it is a pleasure to watch two great teams, managed by two great managers, slugging it out for the titles, just a shame Klopp is in charge of a nasty, horrible, entitled club.
Liverpool have earnt about the same amount of money as City over the last five years therefore have about the same budget.

They also paid higher wages throughout the last five years until last season.

Just because they beat us yesterday with large part of our best players not playing doesn't mean the fa cup is a given, Palace and Chelsea will be be rested and dippers will be playing every three days.
They have as much chance of ending up with just the league cup as winning it all.
If they hit the wall it could all come tumbling down
Pep and lots of us knew yesterday when the team sheet went up it was a going to be a long day and so it was.
Chin up all, this could still end up league and chumps for us, we haven't turned to shit overnight and neither have they become the best team in the world.

Every chance of a quadruple this season. I hate them with a passion but they’re having an amazing season.

When I take off my blue-tinted spectacles for a brief millisecond I will acknowledge that Klopp is doing a good job, but he is and always will be a whinging, moaning sly fucker and I'll always dislike him for it.
The club itself, I don't like it. I never have had any time for the dippers and I daresay this will stay with me forever.

But the thing I utterly loathe about that club is the behaviour of its supporters. We all know about their murderous rampages and their fondness for attacking anything and everything that cannot fight back, so I have no cause to dwell on that. But their continued head-in-the-sand, blinkered denial of those past horrific events makes them -to me anyway- the lowest of the lowest in terms of football supporters.

That front 3 of Sane, Aguero and Sterling had everything pace, power and clynical finishing. In their peak that was some attack.

Playing Sterling against Liverpool is like playing with 10 men. He has never had a decent game when playing against them never mind a good one. He’s a complete waste of space against them in every single game. It’s mental thing with him. Leave him out when playing the dippers he just can’t do it.
