In Bernardo's case I don't think that will make any difference whatsoever, he clearly is happy playing for us, the issue is the location and wanting to be closer to family.Think signing Haaland would be a big plus in wanting players to stay, maybe force Jesus out but for some it’s an incentive to stay and be part of a transition to how Pep sets up. Almost like a new era.
Even the Sheik is not rich enough to take that hit ;)Cut our losses on Grealish.0
I do think the squad needs a bit of a refresh. Fernandinho will be away, and i personally think we need to shift Sterling too. I'd be happy to see Jesus stay but wouldn't begrudge him moving for first team football, same with Zinchenko. If a player wants to leave and we get an offer the club finds acceptable, then I'm sure we'll let them go.
But I don't look at our squad and think there's any surplus that needs shredding. We've got a small squad and - if the financial rules allow it - could add a striker, a DM and a full-back easily, without looking over stacked.
I may be alone here, but I don't think Bernardo particularly wants to go anymore. I think he had a rough time during lockdown away from his family and that made him want to leave at the time, but since then his life seems happier. I think he did that dog-walking video with his girlfriend to show us how happy he is in Manchester now. But, as others have said - if he isn't happy, we owe him the chance to move to where he is.

PSG are selling Di Maria which might be another opening for Mahrez to play at his home town club.
He's someone I'd be more than happy to keep, but also OK with leaving if someone made a decent offer for a 31 year old who can only play 1 position.
