When your head hits the pillow, do you?

Depends how much I've had to drink.
Same, or if I'm working the next day, how I think it will go.

Didn't sleep great last night, as I knew yesterday was going to be a shit workday (any Sunday is shit as we have our most work). However I didn't know just how shit it would be, it was just terrible. I'm lucky I only work 2 shifts a week now, but yesterday was one of the worst I can remember in a long while, not particularly looking forward to the shift later today either, but less work thankfully.

Never really had any problems falling asleep - obviously like all of us, from time to time if worried about shit. Never got that grown up issue of needing to wake up earlier, even if I don’t have work, either. Once my body decides I’m going to sleep I’ll go to sleep, even if Mrs MB is still talking to me which must make her feel great but it’s not deliberate. One trick I’ve used to clear my mind if struggling to sleep is just to keep repeating in my head I’m going to sleep and after a few minutes I’ll catch myself nodding off and then can go to sleep normally - think it just lets the mind shut down.

Nothing worse than being knackered or in pain so hope all those that suffer with sleep deprivation or pain, manage to get help.

But do you wake up for the second half?

Sorry to hear about your tinnitus- I know you have spoken about this before :(
Cheers mate. I suffer tinnitus 27/7 but it's something I've learned to live with, can be a right bastard though leading to anxiety which is never good when you feel tired but can't stop thinking about things.

Fortunately, I'm sleeping pretty soundly nowadays as i have to be up for 6:15 6 days a week but as another poster mentioned sleep deprivation is not good

Fall asleep easily, or toss and turn with your mind whirling, or what ?

I suffer tinnitus and have to do battle with ot regularly in order to sleep, but it will eventually lose out to my tiredness...

Depends on circumstances. Lived through some stressful times lately and bizarrely enough, fell asleep very easily and required some effort to come around properly in the morning too.

I have used these herbal pills previously. They're available on Amazon too, which is where we get them. Help with sleep but the melatonin can bring crazy, vivid dreams on.

I imagine I am on a boat fly fishing. The boat is gently rocking too and fro, drifting slowly in a warm spring breeze, my breathing is in time with my casting, slow, deep ..........I never get past this bit to see if I catch anything :-(

I have no issues getting to sleep, but I do feel for those who have difficulty. It must be awful, add in Tinnitus and that makes it worse. My old mum had it and she hated it. Although to be fair, the heroin helped her.

I used to have trouble falling asleep when I was working as I used to overthink work related stuff.
Since I retired, I've had no problems at all dropping off, although I do tend to wake up earlier now, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
