A few United fans have come out with this moan where they say “you’re allowing Liverpool to win the league on your watch, we never did that”… but it’s still United’s “watch”.

They spend more money on transfer fees and wages than anybody (yet their fans still moan about their owners!) and on their watch they’re allowing City and Liverpool to win the league.

Most points they ever had was 91 and they only broke the 90 barrier twice, keeping the Dippers out of the equation wasn’t hard as they weren’t rivals for most of the Rags dominant era. We’re having to do it against a backdrop of a more competitive league and the Dippers who have all kinds advantages going in their favour.

1 is an ethereal concept and is not actionable. 2 and 3 are outside of the control of the manager. 5 and 6 are the same.

So his six point plan is actually "play identifiable football and promote young players" which is something that United have been doing for many years. Truly a work of genius.

We have had a model since takeover of how they want us to play (they came form Barca after all). They then brought in a manager that had those same ideas and they bought players that could play that way, even if it meant reinventing themselves. All this claptrap about dna and the ‘nited way really is a load of sh1te as we have seen over the last 10 years. Even getting a new manager like tenner hack needs the support and the plan for the future instead of splurging loads of money on ‘stars’. It has yet to be seen if he does have a clearly defined way forward supported by the club. Like I said the club moves forward from the management committee with a clear view of where they want to go and I don’t see this at the raggies. I reckon that tenner hack will resign after 18 months.

The 'utd way' myth died with Mourinho.

They clearly need a massive clear out all the way up to the board but i cant see it happening. As long as they have a mixed back of old players and managers lurking about there will never be a clear vision.
