Erling Haaland

I totally agree, but if you owned a business and you had assets worth millions that could leave for nothing in a year, would you sell them and get as much money for them or do you use them for the extra 12 months and let them leave for nothing?

Depends. On how much was being offered, how much it would cost to replace him, where else in the squad investment is needed at the same time, how many new players come in at the same time.

Sometimes a year of a player with 'nothing' at the end is worth more than selling him for a shit fee.

For me Haaland is the long awaited Aguero replacement. Alvarez the Torres replacement. If one of sterling or Jesus were to also leave (if I had to choose it would be Sterling to leave, that 300k a week could be better spent elsewhere and it seems his cycle with city is coming to an end sadly as he’s been class for us)

Then they will need replacing in my opinion with someone like Nkunku who will add a lot goals and assists and can play anywhere across the front line. Haaland Alvarez and Nkunku should add some serious firepower to us next season

The release clause won’t expire until the transfer window opens. I don’t think the deadline will be in the most important part of our season.
It could be that notice for payment has to be issued by April 30th. Makes sense, allows clubs to plan ahead.

For laughs

I bit the bullet and clicked on it (incognito window obviously):-

the 43-year-old Frenchman said: "Haaland is young and ready for a step up, at the moment there are obviously bigger destinations where Champions League football is guaranteed, where trophies are maybe more likely.

"I understand that. But the player is smart enough to understand that United will be back at the top, that’s for sure, and he will fit the bill.

"That’s what United are looking for – someone who can guarantee goals, will definitely play for many, many years and who knows, could even break records."

I'm surprised we don't see more of Saha in the media, he's obviously a genius analyst. Nice to see he thinks of them lot as a step up to better things though, could they become our new feeder club?

Would Raiola even deal with United ever again after Pogba, not that Haaland would be crazy enough to join that shower of shit haha
