Manchester City
Man City boss Pep Guardiola talking to Sky Sports: "We knew coming here the way they play, we suffered a lot in the first half. But in the end we had control and could have scored more. An incredible result for us.
"They are so fast up front. Today was so importanrt to make our chances to be champions again.
"We defended well and sometimes these type of games set-pieces become so important. With Nathan Ake on the pitch, we are so strong.
"What a game Laporte played, he is doing an incredible season. We have five games to go, potentially six until the end of the season.
"I prefer to feel less pressure than I am feeling. It is a long season and this is the last effort."

'Very important to win in this way'

Manchester City
City defender Aymeric Laporte to Sky Sports: "I’m very happy because the team won. It’s very important to win in this way. It’s very important for us for the future."
On his head injury: "I didn’t know. It was a big shock. I fell down and I didn’t know exactly what happened. Very quickly they asked me if I was good. They asked me questions if I remembered everything and if everything was OK so I could play."

Manchester City
City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to Sky Sports: "It was a huge test. Leeds started with a lot of intensity. They made our lives difficult.
"The first goal helped us a lot. They were more than in the game in the first half. After the second one we could move the ball better and create chances."
On his early block: "The key is to not panic in these situations. I’m not the quickest but I was able to get back and make the block. Defensively we were able to block a lot of shots today. Not conceding today was important. The next game in Madrid will be crucial."
On Liverpool playing first: "It’s always as tough as you make it for yourself. We have to manage these situations. Sometimes they’ll play first. Sometimes we’ll play first. The responsibility is always there to win all the games. Every game is a final now."

Champions performance that. Each and everyone of them played brilliantly. Well perhaps Cancello aside, he still had a good game but needs to be told to stop doing flashy high-risk stuff in games like this.

Leeds team and fans both classless. Lobbing crap at our players while stewards just looked on it’s just pathetic. Their players resorting to bremneresq stuff. But having said that I’m really pleased that they managed to get through to 2nd season syndrome as I’ve quite enjoyed the played 2m no goals against, goal difference plus 11 and a nice six points. I didn’t realise that was what Pesky meant.

Four more cup finals to go. Well hopefully five including the Champions League final. What a time to be a city fan lads And lasses.

Give the guys a break - even after twelve years of great football, many of us can't forget City's past ability to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and to cock things up - we are naturally glass half empty folk, but it doesn't mean we don't care passionately and desperately want City to win - as it ruins our whole weeks when we don't!!
That is so true. I stayed away from all media, including on here, until 7.24 and looked on the BBC site and it said 0-3 and 88 minutes I then went into the kitchen to make myself a cuppa chanting Come on City, come on City and thinking oh my goodness what if Leeds make a comeback the ref will keep playing until they win!! We old timers will take a few more years before we accept that it’s (mostly) ok!!
I then let out a cheer when I looked again and it was 0-4 FT!! :-)

Good result

Good team performance

Pitch very slippery

Ref a joke

Leeds fans a joke

Leeds as a club a joke made no attempt to stop things being throw on the pitch.

What a question to Pep " were you happy with your medical staff " ....what the fuck was that meant to mean ?

5 finals and a semi hopefully

That was one of the best atmospheres in PL games I've seen for for some time, our away support was superb and Orcs...well, they are Orcs and I don't want them relegated just because of that.
They also gave a proper game of football and that was refreshing.
Raz was just amazing, he was on fire and reminded me of his last season when playing for that lot back in 2013/2014.
Jack much better in the second half and he is such lovely lad, ne never teased them actually, loved it how he dealt with those paper balls.
When we are at the paper crumpled balls, bring them on, I like that shit.
And our defence, I mean last ditch defence to prevent conceding, I swear Dias is reading Sun Tzu to all of them, that shit "when you are on the deadly ground, fight to death!"
Very happy indeed!

Hopefully those mouth breathing mutants will be in the Championship again. The Referee was a disgrace.
A very nervy 1st half but the 2nd goal killed a lot of their intensity. We need Ake & Rodri etc to chip in with vital goals.
Cancelo -erratic but good going forward
Gundogan and Sterling not players to have in a hurly burly physical dust up.
