Agreed. Not conceding an early goal is going to be key for us. Liverpool showed exactly how not to do that yesterday, so hopefully our players will be switched on and ready to deal with an early wave of pressure from Real.

If we can control the tempo of the game, as we so often do then I'm confident we'll have too much for them. I think it'll be a close scoreline, but if we turn it on we're capable of putting 3 or 4 past them again.

They will press us like they did at our place but every time we played through it there was acres of space for us to create chances. I think there will be goals early in this game and they might just be for us.

In the first leg Ancelotti had told them to come haring at Ed for the first ten minutes or so, because, as everyone's noticed, he likes to hold onto the ball until the last possible second. I wish he wouldn't do that, at least, not tonight. I don't want to see him doing a Steffen. That would be a nightmare (and yes, I know he's a much better keeper than Zak).

Not normally able to watch Melbourne City but as it was top v bottom and if City won they confirmed as champions,I thought a nice lead in for tonight. City ,hit the bar ,the post ,rolled along the line with Perth goalie pulling off tremendous saves.Perth one shot/cross = goal. ,then one shot ,City goalie cock up= second goal for Perth.Half a world away ,and City still giving me the twitches.Please City just do them tonight, for the good of my health.
