Sadly, Im not sure he will. But if he does, it will be on the left. Mahrez was rested specifically to be ready for Madrid. And Foden is too good to be benched. It will come down to Sterling or Gabby. With Gabby in a rich vein of scoring form, my money is with him startingAgree, really good team performance yesterday. Think he’s almost a certainty to start against Madrid. Hopefully it’s down the right again where his pace could cause them loads of problems

Leeds is the exact type of game we need Sterling

He just doesn't show it in the big games whereas Mahrez has bailed us out (even he can be hit and miss in the big games)

First sentence incorrect. Never turns up against Liverpool. CL final last year anonymous. Second sentence incorrect. RM game not like a Leeds game at all. We’ve beat them 7-0 and 4-0 at a canter the last 2 times we’ve met so not like a RM game at all really. Umpteen more examples but I’m late for the gym.
obviously a Sterling fan boy making it up as you go along to suit your narrative that Sterling is world class.

I don't know that that's fair. He's still never scored against United, sure, but he does have goals against Sevilla, Arsenal, Monaco, Napoli, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Marseille and PSG on his CV. I don't think it's about quality of opponent for Raheem but the role he's given is crucial.

We lost the CL because Pep made an inexplicable decision to leave out Rodri, allowing them to carve through us like cream with a butter knife, and because all of our forwards were complete shit. Pinning that all on one guy doesn't make sense. Unless the guy is Pep.
I can understand the arguments to start Sterling. A front three of Foden, Jesus and Sterling will press the living daylight out of Real Madrid. The only problem here is you never know the Sterling that will show up, whether it’s the confident, brilliant Sterling or the other one.
But who would you rather have taking the chances sterling or Mahrez ? . I don’t dislike sterling and he’s been a great servant for the club and maybe with a total striker he will thrive again but as it is his end product is basically shit and we cannot trust him in the big games .Been one of our best players against liverpool across the last 4 encounters. Not only control, but ball retentionI think the key here is Mahrez’s control which gives us the ability to switch play with long cross field passes - which is why he has to start ahead of Sterling.
Who would I want out of two bad finishers to take chances? Hmm. Based on the last leg Mahrez won’t take his chances either, the reality is none of the forwards are particularly clinical. I myself would therefore prefer the player who I think will have the greatest impact and influence on our side during the 90 minutes.But who would you rather have taking the chances sterling or Mahrez ? . Raz is shit off the bench but so is ffsI like Sterling as an option off the bench tonight, to exploit tired legs and find pockets of space. Would prefer Mahrez starts, personally
