Great post mate,if the money from the Abu Dhabi was withdrawn then the horse industry and especially Newmarket would go tits up big....sponsorships,jobs the whole industry would be in serious trouble...I've never heard about the money pumped in to the industry or any other sports, golf, cricket, tennis etc being brought up but it's a pile on when it's Manchester City.....parasites and scum are the media in this country and I love being a city supporter so fuck the lot of them......
And the worst of it is, they all enjoy their little winter breaks in
Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Two faced cunts, that’s what they are!

And yet the media are portraying it as "Guardiola has refused to speak to his players since the Real game" when his direct quotes don't say that at all
On the press conference video he says he has left it so he can talk to them tomorrow. So if that is the headline then it is just more distorted and fake news.

come on you spurs. Now that would boil some piss if Spurs could pull off somthing similar to what they did to us.
These teams don't. When the Rags were in their pomp teams were thinking the worst as they climbed aboard the coach to set off for The Swamp, and by the time they got there they'd gifted the Rags two or three goals to go with the Old Mother Riley pen. Teams want to beat us no matter how fuckin' miserable their season has been. They never put together the same game when it's Dipper time.
Chris Latchem the sports reporter on BBC 5 live commented on this this morning. He said to Rick Edwards that they have predicted Liverpool to win the league by a point, and he said “wouldn’t that be good”. I thought they were supposed to be unbiased on the BBC.
Either the first or the second B stands for biased. The other one is an abbreviation of bastards!

It is mate. His whole sentiment was along the lines of 'the players were annoyed and upset, we all were so we decided to not talk and take some time away to reflect and then discuss tomorrow', the media then try to imply there is tension in the air

The difference is that some of our commercial rivals have orchestrated a posionous campaign against our club and they are pushing against an open door because so many people in the media are so willing to believe bad things about our owner (because of his ethnic heritage).
There is a big market for people like Simon Jordan who has used phrases in public such as:"I don't like the way those people do business" or referred to "dirty oil money." People know what he is trying to say. I wonder what he says about City's owner in private.
It is easy to exploit racial hatred packaged as something else. I don't know much about the horseracing industry but perhaps no one in that industry wants to rock the boat and risk future investment.

What I struggle with here is the obvious reference to Man Utd in all this. American owners and Red teams are mentioned every second post on this site. I mean it could be the case that they have been absolutely inept at virtually everything for 10 years because they have solely been focusing on bad mouthing Man City across various media platforms. They are a car crash of a club, what makes you think they have the capability to orchestrate such a campaign and in what way have they benefited from it?

I believe that LFC and the Fenway Group have been driving things more than MUFC. The much publicised meeting in New York involved MUFC, LFC and Arsenal but it's not clear who called the meeting. The American owners operate closely with each other and that was also shown by the Super League proposals where City were excluded till the very last minute. United have done everything in their powers to try and undermine City because we are a huge threat to their business model. Remember MUFC and LFC were amongst the key players who pressurised UEFA into taking action against City on FFP with virtually no evidence and were almost certainly involved in the leaks from the Investigating Committee. It is strange that despite being rivals they are working together. But the fact they have not succeeded in stopping City suggests you are right about their levels of competence.

I've tried to avoid most of the media coverage since the Real game. The days of proper sports journalism are over. The vast majority of current reporters working for these institutions are no better than some random fan with a YouTube channel. I know people in the industry and they regularly bemoan the lack of journalistic integrity or standards.

No wonder Pep loses it sometimes. He's one of the greatest ever managers, whose very presence in England has revolutionised the way the game is played at all levels, yet he's got to show up at press conferences and listen to nonsense spouted by morons with no grasp of the game, pushing their or their paymasters agenda in order to boost their own profile, get clicks and placate their readership.

Fuck them all.

Been saying that for many years to my United loving mates, Fergie was so successful because he bought everyone's best fucking players.
Rooney, Sherringham, Van Persie, Keane, Robson, Stam, Rio, Cole, the list goes on and on and on...
But not his son, Darren. That was just his best son.

They nearly got a european super league to line their pockets. Joel fecking Glazer was extoling the virtues of it on our own website! With the champions league reforms they've influenced that to smooth their passage to regular qualification. They very nearly got us banned from Europe (surely the instigators of the hateful 8). They still have an unnatural control over the domestic game.

Some ideas for starters

I think this is often true but is actually a get out of jail free card. I had the misfortune to click on the Grauniad and their 10 things to look out for this weekend. By definition, you’ve already clicked on it and there is nothing else to ‘click on to’. And yet, with the stink of Glendenning everywhere, you get this thoroughly cliched bollox.

City need to be built up for el gasico

Even before their midweek Champions League defeat at the Bernabéu, Manchester City’s home match against resurgent Newcastle looked one of the more likely banana skins on their top-flight run-in. Until, that is, you examined Eddie Howe’s record against Pep Guardiola – a miserable 11 defeats from 11 with an aggregate score of 34-5. All but one of those losses occurred before Wor Eddie joined Pep in the managerial ranks of the nation state-owned sportswashing vehicles, only to lose his first el gasico derby in December.
Don't remember any banana skin talk when Liverpool were playing them away last week but our game at home is ...

Fucking hell they are getting worse the nearer their beloved Liverpool get to this quadruple. Lets hope they end up with the League Cup.
Even if they finish the season with just the league cup the media will still be gushing over them.

All we'll hear from the media is how well they played and how close they ran us, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
