We had a net transfer spend of:
£65.05m in 2014-15
£126.68m in 2015-16
£161.69m in 2016-17
£203.54m in 2017-18
£18.89m in 2018-19

In 2019-20, our revenue was £474.35m, and the TV revenue alone was £168.3mm, with a net transfer expenditure of £79.67m.

In 2020-21, our revenue was £552m, and the TV revenue alone was £153.5m, with a net transfer expenditure of £37.03m.

I don’t think we have to worry about any of the above. It looks like it’s the Mancini pay off they’ve been going on about for years is what they’re pinning their hopes on

My prediction is there wouldn’t be a lot in it. If such a report could be generated it might shut a few anti City supporters up.

Exactly. But suppose for one moment it was true. Subject matter experts give opinion evidence not factual evidence and, as we know, opinions are like arseholes. So a) it would be interesting to know what they were opining on and b) we'll have a team of better experts giving the opposite opinion.

I wonder if Nick Harris has volunteered his "expert" services.

They would have been appointed in the early stages to help assess if there was a case to answer. The story is total bollocks.

Pep needed to get that off his chest after a tough week. So so lucky to have this man in charge. A genuine rebel was needed to navigate the made up financial lies. The fact he stands up for our club against the onslaught is admirable and will never be forgotten.

The plan put in place by Khaldoon to bring Pep in to take over was a masterstroke.

Not sure what that would prove to be honest.

Think of it like this. We get cash from TV prize money, matchday revenue and commercial income, plus what we get from player sales. Then we spend that on wages, operating and other costs. What cash we've got left is available to reinvest in the squad. The question then is, how much do we reinvest?

I've got some figures but need to rejig them slightly. But what they'll show is that we reinvest virtually all our spare cash in players, whereas Liverpool only reinvest around 80%.

Spurs' model seems to involve only spending on new players what they get from player sales so a lot of their spare cash isn't invested in their squad. I have a theory that they refused to sell Kane as they'd then have to spend all that money on new players, and Levy didn't want to do that. It'd be like when we sold SWP to Chelsea for £21m and bought Samaras for £5m.
