He's clearly had it drilled into him NOT to lose the ball in silly areas, he's therefore gone into his shell a bit and now doesn't even risk trying to take defenders on when there's an easy pass inside/back pass on.

Watching the video of the players getting off the bus,they looked a bit down ( rightly so) but hopefully with last nights game a bit of feel good positivity will be a bit of a pick up for them,champions league is gone but the true test of a team (premier league )is still well and truly in our hands,performance for me doesn’t matter just trying to get the 3 points does ..

After the bollocks mid-week I'm not sure what to expect today. I just know the Toon gave the dippers a game a few weeks ago by the sound of it, but I'm sure we can do it. Should be a formality and I'm hoping for just that. Way too many nervy arse-twitching kinda games lately. Let's at least put the league title to bed ASAP.

Could it be that Grealish himself has put the reigns on....He himself is takign the easy options....I do remember an interview with Pep where he said of Grealish that he needs to be braver or something along those lines with regard to getting into goal scoring positions....

Sterling has better pace than most defenders yet he always stops and cuts it back,if he hasnt lost it by then....its the same for the others....only on rare occasion do we drive into the box.
