After walkers comments about him fighting to be fit for West ham, it would be a massive fucking boost to have even a half fit walker and Ake dropped into that defence.

There is no way Zinchenko will start against Villa. I would also say Fernandinho shouldn't be anywhere near a CB starting spot if Ake is fit next week.

They give you time on the ball. I watched them against us at villa Park and against a off colour Liverpool the other day, they are piss poor. We have got to have a mare not to beat them imo... can't see it being too dramatic a day unless the refs screw us

But that’s not what I asked? As I said, I would be happy to be proven wrong that he has scored more game winning (and highly consequential) goals and penalties than, say, Kev, making him a better candidate for these types of penalties.

KDB has missed as many for us as Mahrez has. Either of them could have scored or missed it.

Typical I had to sit this one out and look after my little one today - gutted to not give Noble a clap.

You obviously dominated proceedings and expected one way travel but we looked dangerous on the break, Antonio and Bowen caused havoc I thought - pressure was off us more and I think that was the difference, also your defensive injuries played a part.

Lot of our fans saying it wasn’t a pen and the ref gave us nothing all game - It was a clear pen.

Grealish was class and we couldn’t handle him.

Anyway, win the league please. Can’t stand the scousers and would happily have thrown the game today - providing Utd lose to palace and we beat Brighton next week.

Antonio was an absolute disgrace today, constantly diving, throwing dissent at the officials and escaped a booking for it all. Not seen him like that before

Said it in the game thread. How the fuck have we not got an ice cold penalty taker in this team ? Do we not even practice until someone (or 2 or 3) players are great with spot kicks ? It's pro sport for fucks sake, yet we often look like a bloody pub team from the spot.

Great comeback though, and showed a hell of a lot of grit. From a position we never should have been in to start with mind you.

Last day it is. But hey, we should be used to that by now. Hope to God that we are relaxed for it and not nervy. There's a ton of pressure when you have to do it, which we almost certainly will have to. No way dippers are blowing their last two.

There's absolutely no way liverpool would have missed a title winning penalty like that. We're the better side, but I think we also more prone to bottle things than they are right now. Pep got lucky there, got everything wrong.

I get what you’re saying here but the team that he put out got it back to level pegging and with 5mins to go had a penalty to win it. Also, I’m wondering if, like Ake, a few of them may be carrying knocks.

Shades of the Match thread in the Post Match? We've come from 2-0 down, have taken 16 out of the last 18 points, with an increasingly makeshift defence, turning around our GD in the process and it's still in our hands.
But because the keeper made a decent save from a not stellar but not terrible penalty for some it's the end of the world and we are bottlers :-( Possibly the main thing worth getting narky about today was the lack of VAR on the Jesus foul.

Just one more decent performance and we're there.

Thank god that game is over. Even in the final few minutes City were too slow and too deliberate trying to walk the ball into the net.
Really need to go at Villa from the off next week.
