Listening to Graham Souness yesterday said everything.

Winning the title was ALWAYS the priority for him , teammates and LFC back in the day, the most difficult and rewarding trophy to win.

Cups are great, wonderful memories of the winning day, but the rewards of hard grind for 9 months of the year should never be underestimated.
Ironic that the best pundit on TV is a cult legend

If/when we win the CL, the media narrative will be that a cup competition involves a lot of luck, and that the true test is doing it over 38 games.

For a manager to leave a legacy like in the past with what the scousers and the rags dominating it’s all about those club winning umpteen league titles back to back league title even back to back to back league titles! For me if Klopp only wins one or two league titles over say his ten year period he hasn’t left a legacy he leaves as a great manager second to Pep.

Liverpool have won 9 League Cups and have needed extra time, penalties or a replay to win 7 of them.

Context is everything, Chelsea have won as much as Liverpool in the last 6 years and a hell of a lot more in the premier league era.

3 of the first 4 articles on the Fail's football page are about the rags. (The other is about Idrissa Gueye's homophobia). The first City article is 17th and the match report is 30th. Articles on Simeone, Eriksen, Newcastle wanting Dean Henderson, Bayern (2), Everton v Brentford (3), Maxwell Cornet, Mitchell van der Gaag (who?), PSG and Konstantinos Mavropanos are just some of those ahead of the Premier League leaders' match report.

Clear and obvious.

It really is isn't it? I have spent a couple of minutes scrolling down the page without any sign of blue.

In a way I'm glad Everton lost yesterday. It's taken the attention off our draw at West Ham in the media. Not that I want Everton to go down.
