Just finished Slow Horses season one on Apple TV+ - a fun, but not compelling watch. 7.5/10.
Three episodes of Ozark to go and god I hope Wendy Bird dies.
I said the same thing. I would have her son killed as well.Three episodes of Ozark to go and god I hope Wendy Bird dies.
Succession.Any decent series to watch on Netflix or Amazon or sky? Done the usual Gomorrah, Bosch etc
Watched this last year and enjoyed it. I always watch with subtitles - can't believe anybody would opt for the comedy dubbing on any show (unless you struggle to read the subtitles, of course).Just started watching "The Chestnut Man" on Netflix (been out a few months I think but new to me), another of those "The Killing/The Bridge" Scandi dramas.
Really well scripted and acted, and as usual very gruesome. Best watched in Danish with subtitles.
Not sure who is streaming them but would recommend the following:Any decent series to watch on Netflix or Amazon or sky? Done the usual Gomorrah, Bosch etc
Loved The Bureau. Not sure who is streaming them but would recommend the following:
Romanzo Criminale
Suburra : Blood on Rome
The Mayor of Kingstown
Spiral (might still be on the BBC iPlayer)
The Bureau (French spy series that is far superior to Slow Horses)
The first season of 4 Blocks was pretty good, though I am less impressed with Season 2.
A Swedish series called Caliphate is, I think, on Netflix. It’s been highly acclaimed and portrays ISIS accurately but does so without resorting to the one-dimensional stereotyping of its Muslim characters.

There isn't a single minutes filler in it. Everything is relevant. Genius telly, I love itUp to date with Better Call Saul now...overall the series, to begin with, was a slow burner. Season 5 was exceptional I thought on a par with Breaking Bad in some episodes however for my tastes it's way too drawn out now they should've done 4 seasons max.
Perhaps an extremely hard act to follow in BB but especially considering it's a spin-off find myself occasionally skipping scenes which I never did with Breaking Bad the plot is too meandering and dull far too much filler.
Didn't like the ending at all. The series as a whole was excellent.Cant decide if I'm happy with the way Ozark ended or not.
