If the price is only £25m then it’s a shrewd piece of business. He might not have a fancy foreign sounding name but knows the league and is a tenacious player who is very much needed in a squad like ours. Ake was looked down on and apart from injuries has been a revelation. He may not be a wow name but we have Haaland for that. The squad needs more ZIn’s and Ake’s to help with the match load.
Having thought about it, he would be a good fit for this city team. The low fee makes it almost risk free. Add in league experience and that’s what you call an astute signing. Trained under a coach that pep admires.
