Match Thread | Man City vs Aston Villa (22/05/22)

Without prime Fernandinho teams are able to cut through at will in big games.

Rodri is a neat and tidy player but cant martial the midfield by himself.

Defence is therefore exposed.

We can blame Pep as much as you like but when the players cross that white line then they are to blame.

It is definitely on the players but a part of me wonders if Peps frantic big tactics approach unsettles this group in some way. Clearly it hasn’t unsettled some of his other great teams but we always seem so nervy in these big ones

I know everyone has been shit but remember those days we had a keeper that made saves and kept us in games? Those were nice days.
We have a GK who fans are okay with not scoring
We have failed striker now winger who people are okay with not scoring just bcoz he presses

It's like a drama that was written weeks ago. I just knew this would happen. It's like everything is geared towards the twats winning the quad. Plague, War and this.
