Maybe it was objectively a better achievement in that villa were a better team wasn't down to 10 men and was winning 2-0 but despite an unbelievable 5 minutes it's not aguero, those circumstances were highly unique and simply cannot be replicated. No reason to compare though, its a phenomenal comeback without needing to rate it compared to 93.20.

The jesus last kick for 100 points always gets overlooked, different situation to the other two but for anybody that was at Southampton, they'll tell you how crazy those scenes were at the end there too, we've had 3 of these moments now.
4!

Good argument for both. To score 3 goals in 6 mins against a good Villa side is just mental and quite astounding. Dont forget we saved football for everyone today and with it we got our 6th title. The first will never ever be forgotten for pure drama but think today was even more amazing considering the situation at 75 mins and the fact the dippers scored two late goals.

The 2012 narrative will never be beaten for City fans of my generation (the 44 yrs of hurt generation!).

Before the game, it was going to be a routine win and maybe QPR would go down depending on results elsewhere.

At 89 minutes, we were losing, United had won the League and QPR had saved themselves.

At 90 minutes, we had tied the game, QPR learned they were staying up, but we were still losing the League to United.

By 93:21, we were winning the League, pipping United on Goal Difference…from the 6-1 game at their place…QPR were staying up due to other results and we were breaking a 44 year hoodoo (for which we were constantly taunted by United fans and their club) at their expense! The goal was scored by our new signing in his first season, who would go on to be the best striker the club has ever known, breaking scoring records galore, and changing the entire ’istree of the club with his goal.

NOTHING will ever compare to that day...even though today tried hard!

When the second goal went in, we still had 10 mins to get a winner. To get it within 2 minutes was simply ridiculous, and while the 0-2 deficit to 3-2 victory was greater than 2012, 2012 was still an iconic, era defining, ’istree making moment in time.

This is how it feels to be City…

Nothing beats 2012 for me.

Argument being it's our first and can be said to be the most important. We weren't the 'giants' of the league, it was United, and as a team we had to overcome that. And we did it with the last kick of the game.

Both excellent moments in our history of course, just for me, 2012 is that extra special.

I was right behind the goal second row, it went mental!

Better come back was 2022. It was 0-2, we needed three goals.

2012 was a more dramatic finish with it being pretty much the last kick of the game.

Agree with this, 2012 was better in terms of sheer moment but today was harder.

We were 2 goals down today with 20 mins left and won needing 3. 2012 it was 2 goals to come back but ended up doing it later.

If we are going by technicalities, we didn't 'need' the 3 goals before scoring them today. We were at no point behind liverpool in the table, even at 2-0 down, we were still top. They didn't score their second till after we were 3-2 up. In 2012, it was all over for us, even after Dzeko's equaliser. Till that third.

For me, From a purely footballing tecnical side, today was better. As an overall experience in context however, 2012 tops it. ONLY just.

It is a credit to the club and the spirit of Typical City, that the question has been raised. This Cityitis and the do things the hard way, it's deeper than our bloody DNA. The Hadron Collider has found the God particle, and it's sky blue with a maroon trim. Bloody 'ell.

We always needed to win

2012 has become more significant since as it signalled the very beginning of United's decline, which is delightfully still continuing to this day.

Would be good if yesterday did the same for the scousers...

First title in 44 years, injury time, Agueroooo moment etc 11/12 is impossible to top. However, we absolutely battered QPR that day and frig knows how we ever ended up behind.

Yesterday, we were absolutely dogshit for 75mins. The game was over and we never looked like we had it in us to get back into it.

In terms of what it meant to fans 11/12 over 21/22. Comeback wise 21/22 over 11/12 because we were dead and buried yesterday.

2012 will always win due to the lack of time but fook me that runs it as close as you would want. As Vinnie said never again that way!!

At no point yesterday were the dippers top in the 'as it stands' table. In 2012 the rags were celebrating winning it after their game finished and then.

Yesterday was concerning at 2-0 and with the way we were playing. Villa are a better team than QPR were, but we're a better team than we were in 2012 and there was belief because we've done it before. Scoring three in five minutes was mad, but there was another 10 minutes or so to have got them if need be.

2012 was the ending that would have been far fetched and yet predictable in a film. To do it in real time was ridiculous and will probably never be repeated in the PL.

Was it better than '99 though...

I voted for 2012 because of its importance to the club. Yesterday was special though as we were there in that unbelievable atmosphere. It was like a mighty beast had awaken when Gundo scored the first. I’m sure that roar helped the team score 2 and 3. What an unbelievable day.
