I think we’ll sell Jesus and try to buy Felix. If we can’t get Felix i think we’ll go with what we got next season. Sterling will probably run down his contract because he think he should get bigger wages than city offers. If he run his contract down he will get the wages he wants IMO.

Sterling will wait it out until he gets his representation sorted, apart from that it’s a case of who comes in - and he will not go anywhere near an English team, his eyes are for foreign environments only, or to extend with city.

Moreover, Sterling has earned the right to fulfil his contract and move on on a free. He signed for a fee which proved to be a bargain and has contributed more than most players during Pep's era. I believe he has played the most minutes since Pep arrived at the club which tells its own story. Way too much snide has surrounded Sterling throughout his City career. Very odd behaviour and does make you wonder ...

Too much listening to the propaganda surrounding his signing if you ask me, seen as a mercenary and has proved to be far from it.

Head down and worked hard, no complaints from him when not picked and done what has been asked in a changing attack that most could not have dealt with. Compare him and Sane for example of behaviour patterns.

Nearly everyone I know with a season ticket sits close to someone who has just had it in for Sterling from day one. Fucking tragic behaviour, but it reflects in the sort of nonsense you read on Twitter and on here about him as well. That can only come from swallowing tabloid and Scouse propaganda.

I disagree about that. He’s 27 and still a valuable asset. If he wants to leave then he should at least allow the club to receive a fee for him. This isn’t like Aguero, Silva or Dinho who were into their 30’s and towards the end of their careers. Sterling is still in his prime years and we should receive a fee for him.

He’s not going to sign an extension that has been obvious for a while now. We won’t increase our offer so we have to sell this summer. The club is a business and to let him leave on a free would be just plain stupid. There are only a few clubs who could buy him and pay him what he wants. If Real want him we should sell

And I disagree about this.
Sterling signed a contract, is fulfilling the contract well, no moaning. At times he's been phenomenal.
Why should he "allow the club to receive a fee for him" when we all know that if he left on a free, he would get FAR more as a signing on fee and/or wages.

Cool. I couldn't disagree more. He's a club legend already just like Kun, Silva, and Dinho. He absolutely deserves to make his own decisions next. I also don't really understand why any supporter would give a fuck - its not our money. City are so well run they can afford to have a situation like the Sterling one without it affecting their financial stability. Moreover, he is entitled to fulfil the contract the club gave him. Especially after his performances since he joined the club.

Because it gives the club money to put towards his replacement? If you’re happy for a valuable asset to walk away for free and join our European rivals for nothing then good for you.

He’s fully entitled to do that but I personally believe if a player has any fond feelings for their club they would want to see them paid and not just walk away for nothing so they can get a big juicy signing on bonus.

It’s a respect thing, look at how the club acts with players now - it’s not a slavery market and the way we treat players plays a big part of why we are attractive to join.

We wouldn’t be blocking his move though? If he wants to go we all know the club would wish him well. But equally they are a business and the first rule of business is you don’t just give away your assets for free.
