Fabinho slid in to win/make contact with the ball, they've ruled it out because he missed the initial contact and it bounced off his knee instead thus apparently making it unintentional. Absolute load of bollocks.
Kounate did make contact before Fabinho though, he deliberately got his studs on that ball. That's why Fabinho missed.

Just realised Liverpool have already gone through 2 finals, 240 minutes this season without scoring A GOAL from open play and winning 2 Cups on Pens.

Half way to adding another 90 minutes.

Wonder why it took so long to come to that decision. If that’s the rule and that’s what happened then it should have taken 20 seconds.
Because seeing that is only clear from one angle and they have to make sure that's exactly what happened and that's not the only check, once that's determined they also will have checked whether Benzema was onside for the original ball and then the moment it comes back to him.

Sliding to win the ball is pretty deliberate to me
It's not a question of it being deliberate or non-deliberate a deflection isn't deemed to be playing the ball and the offside rule is taken from the point of the ball being played.
