This.So we can’t believe a word uefa say - unless of course it’s to accuse City of ffp breaches - then they are the models of truth and honesty.
Heavy -handed policing also seems alright if you’re allowed to climb on top of police vehicles to hurl objects at your opponents’ bus.
It‘s a funny old game.
I genuinely think in retrospect that the French authorities and police possibly averted another disaster by delaying the kick off on Saturday. The use of blag tickets played a big part in any congestion outside the stadium, they'll get you past initial steward and security checks. But once at the turnstile you'll be stopped as the original ticket has been used. It's about time the club and supporters themselves started calling them out on this. They turn a blind eye to far too many off field incidents and it will happen time and time again.
If a fake ticket is presented to the barcode reader at the turnstile the system of course won’t allow entry and will also record that entry was declined. At that point the ticket holder can’t go forward cos he’s refused entry and the can only push backwards against the que behind him, repeat this hundreds or thousands of times and there’s the horrendous bottleneck. A simple readout from the access control system will show the number of times a fake ticket has been triedThis really. Whilst I'm happy for it all to be Liverpool's fans fault, we (more than anyone) know you can't trust a word of what UEFA says. UEFA is dong what UEFA always does- blaming everyone except themselves. As evidence I would point to the fact that the UEFA's explanation has changed several times already.
Good shout.Wasn't just social media.
Here's an article from 3 days before in the Liverpool Echo.

How they can now deny any culpability and expect others to believe them is bizarre and the fact that the whole of the UK media appears to be trying to whitewash stories like this is actually quite sinister.
I'm glad you got promoted. Forest are an institution, it's good to have you lot back in the PL again. What a weekend.
They lost, we won.
Looking forward to seeing you at the WFCG next season, at least now you will have some competition for your annual title win!
As someone has already pointed out on another thread we have a 100% record at the Etihad to defend.
Our fans were magnificent at Wembley yesterday, the noise was incredible, you could almost touch the relief when the final whistle went. They have been all season.
To the Huddersfield twat who through a full bottle at my face( a 68 year old with a walking stick) I am fine,I hope you have got back to your stinking shit hole of a town with your shit fans and started shagging your sisters again you inbred twats. Just realised I could be equally describing the dippers.
The last time I went to that festering sh*t hole was in 1998 when I travelled back on the overnight ferry from Belfast. Ran over a pigeon on the dock road that somehow ended up stuck to the inside of my wheel arch. I discovered the stinking thing about a week later when it fell out.only one away game I won’t go to in the Premiership …….hate the cunts with a vengeance
Brutal honesty mate that gets brushed under the carpet.3 football grounds, unfortunately in 2 of these ground people sadly never returned home and the third was total carnage....the common demonitator in these incidents.....Liverpool fans....
it was worse than that, Liverpool only opened 2 turnstiles so it made things 10x as bad - Merseyside plod and stewards standing around smirking whilst people were getting crushed.Honestly, as others have said, it's like the British media are massively over-compensating for the lies and slurs The Sun printed about Hillsborough all those years ago. Instead of trying to be balanced, Holt has gone all in by insinuating that not a single Liverpool fan did anything wrong.
And as it happens Oliver, I have been involved in something similar outside a stadium before. Once in Madrid in 2016, and once in 2012 at the League Cup semi-final 2nd leg. Ironically outside Anfield when thousands of City fans didn't get in until well into the first half and there was a crush outside that left some younger fans in tears. There had been a fatal RTA on the motorway en route to the game, which meant loads of blues arrived just before kick-off. Not that Miseryside Police gave a shit - according to them it was our fault for turning up so late. Not to mention that clueless **** Alan Green on 5 Live who claimed City hadn't sold their allocation when half our fans were stuck outside trying to get in. Despite all that, there was absolutely fuck-all in the newspapers the following day,
It really was a disaster in the making for years and anyone, including myself, who attended a big match in that end of the stadium, knew it was a death trap. There was no method for controlling how many people went into each pen.You think looking back at that, the Football Association should have had reservations about holding a game there. Specially with the ground having no safety certificate in April 1989. How the likes of Graham Kelly got away with it on top of South Yorkshire Police is shocking
I think that they are trying to paint the picture that there could have been a crush at the perimeter fences, rather than in the stadium. The people who are roundly criticising the actions of the French police against innocent fans with bona fide tickets have no idea of the reasoning behind that approach, but it’s likely down to the number of attendees without legitimate tickets, some of whom were already in the stadium.
In fact, I’d be amazed if that wasn’t the case.
