I've no idea why anyone would want to pay extortionate prices to go to Paris in the hope of watching a match on a screen outside, or in some poxy little bar probably with French commentary. There must have been plenty of such events in Liverpool and Dublin and anyone with internet connection could watch it for free at home.

There's a slight difference to having a crack with the lads in your own town and City, where you know all the bars and places, to travelling over 500 miles to a foreign city and taking pot luck.

I heard on the bbc news that liverpool turn down the offer of electronic tickets. If electronic are harder to fake the question should have been " why did LFC turn down the use of electronic tickets ?"

That question doesn't fit the 'victim' narrative.

There are a few things that are INDISPUTABLE about this whole saga;

• More Liverpool fans turned up than had legitimate tickets
• There were loads of fake tickets
• The Liverpool end was overcrowded
• Liverpool fans climbed the fences and clattered through the turnstiles
• Fans with genuine tickets couldn't get in the ground
• French police were heavy handed
• There was little or no trouble at the Madrid end of the ground
• Kaveh Solhekol is a f*cking worm.

Personally I’d do it.

Thousands did and lots do when City play abroad I believe. Each to their own. Getting pissed in one country is pretty much the same as any other, I know I did enough countries in my time at sea.

When they prove there were thousands of fake tickets and dispel this scouse myth they're creating I wonder how the scousers will turn the fake ticket debacle into a UEFA problem and not one of their own making. This wasn't Liverpool fans unwittingly buying fakes and beigg scammed as they'll inevitably claim, the overwhelming majority knew full well they were fake but having a fake gets them through the first few checkpoints and gives them an opportunity and a justification in their mind to attempt to jib in.

Well done to the French and UEFA for not accepting this bullshit. I hope they come down hard on Liverpool, there needs to be a deterrent, they did this when they played spurs a few years back, it's escalated considerably this time, what happens next time they reach a major final and they try it again? They won't stop until there's serious punishment or there's a fatality.

The BBC report was ridiculous. Apparently UEFA should have made the tickets harder to forge & also the dippers self policed themselves and behaved impeccably because they remember Hillsborough.

They should have made them harder to forge, putting them on your phone is one simple way. Will lfc ever explain why they insisted on paper tickets ?
