To be fair a lot of these players will want to play for their country and would welcome a cap. Now getting a cap for this poxy round of friendlies whilst the ones who have been pencilled in get a rest for the world cup then that's a different kettle of fish.

Good boy Eddie. Clearly suffered an horrific injury in those last few minutes against Villa, but, Bertlike, soldiered on without a thought for life or limb! And, lest the scousers feel aggrieved, ref played the full 20 seconds he was down!
 
I had to laugh when mister personality himself, Stevie Clarke said this Scottish side would prove they were not ' one tournament wonders '.
The tournament he's talking about was Euro 2020 where the qualifying rules were changed so that basically every country not called San Marino or Luxembourg was able to qualify. The same tournament that once they got to the finals they achieved one point out of nine and one goal in three games. Two of which were played at Hampden Park.

I'd love to see the Jockanese go through for first time since 98, and obviously for the year Ukraine and Zinchy have had.

I’ll be honest, I’m more excited about see Alvarez play tonight, though I’ve seen he starts from the bench so no guarantees he’ll get long (if any time at all)

I’m Scottish but I’m used to us now making a compete arse of ourselves ever since Argentina 1978. Many of us, like me have never totally recovered from that.
 
Italy vs Argentina being on premier sports is just idiotic. Poor stuff from broadcasters to not secure the rights to it.
 
Not an easy one to call between in the Scotland vs Ukraine match. Scotland might just scrape through but the extra bit of motivation for Ukraine might tip it in their favour.
 
I'm interested to see how that Hickey plays. There's a lot of hype surrounding him at just 19 years old.
