he is over - time to look at successors - he will be booed wherever he goes and he only wants to be liked so oddly enough booing him is the thing that hurts him the most
Just seen a few pictures of him and although a picture can be taken out of context, he really does look a man under pressure.

Somebody who lives by the sword, such fall by the sword, for the good of the many. Johnson doesn’t live by this rule, his craving to continue in power (he doesn’t see it as a responsibility) could well be the downfall of his party.

Turns out his camp are moving to defending him in a vote of no confidence and subsequent votes so they are aware the jig is almost up

For me, they’re in free fall without a parachute. Their own party discredited the old and bold and with this current crop of Cabinet boot lickers, invidious to say the least, so I’m unsure where they can turn.

The John Major gambit?

The problem for Johnson is Major threw the gauntlet down to his PM's - Johnson will be throwing it down to the electorate. If he tours seats and gets greeted with a chorus of booing - which I am sure will be easy to arrange if not naturally occurring - will see him totally and utterly fucked
Major had a very popular election gambit. "We abolished the poll tax." That the Tories had introduced it seemed not to bother Tory voters.

First real inkling that the electorate was a bit dim.

And they can't go to the country saying "we abolished Brexit". He could try "we got Brexit done" but when it obviously isn't done he'd be relying on the electorate being a bit dim. Oh wait...

I think you need to join the modern world. In 2015 the Tories shit the bed coz the people who you talk about were leaning towards Farage and his racism ( yep many people that you know are anti forriners at the very least ) then in 2017 Labour rattled them and so a number of people in your constituency decided that they had read enough in the Sun/Mail/Express and Telegraph to vote Tory en-masse. I agree its shocking they discounted what the Tories did to their Dads and Granddads because most of working age were working in call centres and retail. See the collapse in things like male voice choirs in Wales and Colliery Brass Bands here in the north - many quote heritage but do not value it.

So years of austerity cuts and the collapse of once proud communities was laid at the feet of opposition parties because people had made up their minds having been groomed to think that despite the fact they lacked the ability to think and ask if parties are in opposition how do they change the law?

After that its rather simple tbh - you make a point and refuse to publicly change your mind because that shows you were duped/easily led/stupid take your pick. So if you were staunch Labour thru the miners strike and into the Blair years you were happy - you prospered - your mining job had gone but you got jobs in other sectors ( a few years ago stats showed that in the Tyne and Wear region more people were employed than ever were in the mining era) maybe not skilled and not as well paid but cheap credit got you a job a semi det on a new development a nearly new Passat and a used Punto for the Mrs - times were sweet.

The the Tories got in and there was a wholesale attack by the press and by the Govt telling you to question the NHS/Teaching/Students/Fire Service and so on - all the things they were in charge of but had yet to privatise and most of the issues were blamed on the Unions and the EU - forriners taking our jobs etc etc and people who were just starting to feel the pinch and were listening to the r/w papers speak found Farage and we are back at para 1.

Simple fact is - as was pointed out from day one - we need immigration - British people are doing all the low paid jobs they can ( and getting in work benefits but thats another issue ) but there are more jobs than people - this fucking mentalist govt headed by a melt who wrote a for and against column and decided on what was best for HIM ( not us - not the UK - HIM ) do not acknowledge what they have done and they are in a propaganda war to deny it all.

Until people own up to this and make Johnson pay we and our economy and therefore our lives are fucked.

Government refusing point blank to allow recruitment from overseas. And it's never their fault.

Every dog has its day. This might be the beginning of the end for old pants on fire. Who said Monday’s where shite? Maybe being roundly booed by the crowd at the weekend has pushed those who should have known better, to do what needs to be done now. No one usually survives this type of thing. Although he will hang on like that unsinkable turd in a toilet bowl. It’s what he does best.

Have they not tried to blame it on covid or Ukraine yet? Our economy is in a stall, the people who could do the jobs that we are struggling to recruit for have vanished which leaves job vacancies, resulting in wages going up. Hey presto, we have inflation and the cost of living crisis that will get even worse in the Autumn. These extra people we have prevented from working and sent back to the Eu, could have been paying tax and bringing money into the governments coffers.

The government cannot be trusted on running the economy with the head winds we are facing now. They need to go.
