It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Teams like Barca and Madrid will always find ways to evade financial ruin. They're sporting institutions in Spain, and they use surreptitious methods, oftentimes involving national banks, to ease the burden. It's why the hypocrisy of our club being state-funded is rank, and why a Super League is an inevitability at this stage.

Also a factor is burnout, the guy has run himself into the ground, that must be catching him up and maybe another reason for wanting out.

His role at BarcaI would think be very different to us, maybe a No10?

very possibly mate? It just makes sense if bernie wants out and its barca who are the ones to get Frenkie in? Possibly alot may depend on if sterling goes as well though and maybe we go for a winger and move grealish or foden more central?

Personally I think we need a pacey winger regardless of who leaves or stays.

The overwhelming majority of fans that knock our club for inaccurate claims of state ownership, sports washing operations, human rights abuses in Abu Dhabi and financial impropriety will happily sit and watch the Qatar World Cup with no hint of irony or any self awareness.

Potential a downgrade but equally an upgrade.

Bernardo has run himself into the ground the last few seasons, you can only do that for so long.
I hope you're right (If this does happen). It feels like we are going to lose Bernardo whether it's this summer or the next two summers, His agent seeks like he's doing his best to get feelers from other clubs to get Bernardo a move.

Massive mistake not only to replace one senior winger but even bigger if both left and no one came in. Palmer is rated but he cannot replace both of those. I’d accept his role as Jesus replacement.
Well clearly Jesus and Torres are replaced by Alvarez/haaland.

Maybe after this World Cup it will change the attitude to that region, the facilities they have built are stunning, a lot of people may well be eating lot's of humble pie next January.

We have been incredibly lucky to keep him this long and his attitude in doing so has been magnificent, he clearly loves this club but sadly it looks like it has finally come time to say goodbye, with tears in my eye typing this!

That Centurions season with both lads on the wings was a joy to watch. Shredding teams apart.

absolutely!! Maybe this is the summer if some major assets want a new challenge to have a younger superstar overhaul? Would imo refuel pep even further to build a new younger superteam!

Not to mention his hatred towards the Rags and Dippers! Feels like he's one of our own!
