I don't know about every club on earth, but I expect all those with ambitions of finishing second will be extremely envious.

I can't understand why no English clubs were in for him?
For a start he could surely have helped Newcastle in their ambition. It would have been a statement signing for them.
West Ham another possibility.
Unless, of course, he does want to win a few more medals before his time is over?

It’s Olympian level of weirdness some of the stuff that gets posted on that page. This transfer has been done with minimal fuss because Mane knows Liverpool won’t pay what Bayern will and has had their owners nervously worrying they are going to lose and asset for free. I wonder what treatment Salah will get when he fucks off for nothing in summer 2023?

Mane has been a big reason Liverpool have had a resurgence the last 4 years or so. The difference to City with Liverpool is players go on City’s terms, Aguero, Silva and Kompany could have been seduced by the likes of Madrid or Barcelona when they were in their prime, they stayed loyal because of the loyalty shown to them by the club. They don’t have that at Anfield, they are a stepping stone for better things.

With about 20 minutes to go they must've thought the league was in the bag only to have it snatched away. A week later they lost a Champions League final to the same team for the second time in the space of five years. And to top it off they've just lost their best player for a pittance.

I'm sure they don't care that much though because their parade was boss la.
 
Mane is leaving because Bayern are paying him about 100k more a week plus Liverpool do this money ball shit and they think a new contract of 3 years on a 30 year old on 300k a week what Bayern a paying is bad for business! Which is total rubbish mane could play at a top level for at least 3 more seasons and then they could sell him for at least 10/15m

Surely not because all I keep seeing on social media is the Mane quote about how he doesnt need 10 Ferrari's, blah blah fucking blah. Surely he plays for free?

Liverpool don't so Moneyball at all. It was about identifying players who were considered hugely undervalued because the conventional wisdom used to assess baseball players was wrong.

Just about every successful player in Liverpool's squad was highly rated, and very expensive. At £10m Robertson is probably the nearest to a "low cost" underrated player that they've signed.
