With all the chaos that was going on, with two people leaking like sieves how come the media including the Mirror themselves, kept all this to themselves and fed the narrative for most of the season how good United were supposed the be?

Hmmm .... never had a problem with Samuel, he always seems to shoot straight, but the real test of journalism is how you report something you were personally involved in with objectivity. He seems to have failed a little in that respect. Still, on balance, don't write him off yet.

Part of me thinks it's actually a brilliantly choreographed bit of PR giving the fans someone who they can 'trust' and is prepared to question the regime.

When i ask an anti glazer red what more do they want when they have spent a billion pound , the answer when u dig is to spend 2 billion.

I felt the same about Samuel and to see the one hack whom l thought was reliable acting like a sheep on One Man and His Dog pisses me off.
All the things I listed were what l actually saw with my.own eyes, although obviously l cannot verify those inside boasting they had got in with fakes or that those locked outside had genuine ones but l think l am quite fair blaming the massed media defence of Liverpool fans for exoneratting them.
I am not going to look but l wonder what Samuel has to say about the midweek transfers and the way the financial details are reported so differently to put the two teams in different lights.

Should the rags push for the scrapping of ffp so their owners can rebuild them ?
I still dont understand how it is legal to limit the amount of cash an owner wishes to put into his business. That must be against the open market etc.

Anyway if the rags try to get ffp scrapped that could cause them more problems with the likes of Newcastle.

I think Newcastle should be their yardstick this season. If Newcastle finish higher, given their better infrastructure, united will really struggle to overtake them again.

Poor guy having to spend his time on a Saturday answering to their needy supporters. They should get behind their new chief exec and manager as they need to be pulling in the same direction for it all to work. There won’t be many takers looking to buy United because of the shear amount of money it will take to buy the club and then sink into investment in infrastructure, the Glazers ain’t going anywhere soon.
