Kolarov retires

Always liked Kolarov. A strange one, because had he stayed he might just have picked up another two league medals but he wanted to play more and go back to Italy.

21 goals and 10 of them direct free kicks, including one against that lot.

Enjoy your retirement, Aleks.

You had one of the best left foots I’ve ever seen; it could certainly pack a punch

You will always be the first City player to score in the Champions League, and it was with one of your trademark free-kicks.

Your contribution to the rise of Manchester City will never be forgotten.

All the best.

Some wankers always need a boo boy.

Kolarov, Navas, Sterling, Grealish, and bizzarely Ederson seems to be the latest...

Anyway Kolarov was an absolute beast for us. Especially when we got a free kick.
The one Killer Kolarov moment I will remember for ever was started with a little back heel from Nasri to pick up on the run, the thunderous cross at waist height which Kun took from a little way behind him and De Gea never saw it, smelt it or heard it until the tell tale WHOOSH as it hit the back of the net!

Then the camera cuts to Vidic bollocking Valencia. Lovely.

I still haven’t worked out how Sergio got the ball into the net.

Respect ! I loved him. Shame he couldnt cut it with Pep but I was pleased he gave it a try and Pep used his influience in the dressing room.

I thought Pep would have happily kept him but he’d decided it was time for a change of scenery?

Overall a decent player and a great character to have at that time. Had a wonderful left foot. However, I think it was the game against the dippers when he “jogged” back while they scored helped change my opinion of him.
