I always liked Kolarov, he was one of my favorite players of that era. He had his weaknesses as a player (who doesn't) but overall a quality player on the pitch and quite a character off of it. You need those types in the squad.

I think the Aston Villa game at home in the league cup, in the pouring rain which went to extra time which we lost was a stand out moment that maybe turned some fans against him.

Overall a decent player and a great character to have at that time. Had a wonderful left foot. However, I think it was the game against the dippers when he “jogged” back while they scored helped change my opinion of him.
