It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Tolmie said something extremely vague weeks ago that something is going to “break the internet” in a seemingly cheeky tone and being the royalty he evidently is around here everyone clamored over it. And still are obviously. Also said that haaland doesn’t have a RC and bazunu wouldn’t be sold. Anyway love TH but yeah

Then someone a few days ago randomly pulled Neymar out of their arse when still rehashing the comment

So long story short….yes. Now hours and days have gone by and people are still discussing it
Well, I don't know... if he was available, I'd take a look at him, he just turned 30 in February.

Isn’t neymar on like 600k/week? If that’s true and you all were hellbent on not going for FDJ at 350 or whatever…..lol.

Since 19/20 they have a net spend of £330million. Throw in Raphinha and Jesus then they could be looking at a net spend edging closer to half a billion in 3 years.

That's outragous from a club that is posting a loss of over 107m for recent financial year and a loss of 47m for the previous year to that.

Where the F*** indeed are they getting this money!!
And furloughed their mascot whilst trying to take the high ground due to their history (of screwing over other clubs and dodgy back handers)

So his lack of game time isn't going to change if he decides to wait it out for 12 months & then sign a huge signing on fee at his next club
Do you think he’d play more, less, or the same? Pep has always stated he only wants players who want to be here, it stands to reason that in that situation Raz would play less as he wants to move on, and by less I mean less than every season he has spent with us, especially if the club sourced a replacement now or in January

We will not immediately replace Sterling and Gabby in this windows if both decides to leave. Time and time again our club already done like this, Kompany and Aguero is not immediately replaced after they left due in varying circumstances.

If they can't identify their replacement realistically this summer why bother?, they rather wait for the next windows than wasting money adding the replacements just for the sake of it.

Well isn’t this more fun than bickering over Phillips price tag or if Sterling is a legend?

the window literally opened a week and a half ago.. can we at least unload players before we bash the board..?

I think this too. They will already have been thinking about the possibility of having to replace Raz because of him running his contract down. If that player is available and he does go happy days, if not available this window they will wait for the right player.
Edit: There is still a lot of time for things to shake down in this window which makes me more hopeful.

I know that Nkunku had a good season, Leao possibly just decent, but folk do realise that before the season just passed they had seasons totalling a combined 14 goals, yes?

I remember everyone calling Kane a one season wonder...

Where the fuck Arsenal are getting all this money from?
There's this kind of running joke in the NFL(American football) that the Rams(Kroneke's team) play by different salary cap rules to everyone else as their owner has been so willing to open his checkbook for anyone of real importance, giving a ton of 'guaranteed' money, which owners absolutely hate to do as the day the contract is signed the owner has to cut a check and put it in an escrow account. Seems he's now giving the same love to our old friend Arteta.

Berni wanted/wants to leave, didn’t effect his playing time much ?

Looks pretty obvious we want to get at least Jesus out before Cucurella or Phillips come in, just so we aren't left trying to even out 150m+ in expenditure.
What a load of shit !!
Do you honestly believe that both Pep and Txiki would spend money on transfers just for the sake of it ?
You`re fucking deluded if the answer is yes.
Think you have got the complete wrong end of the stick. Kamaro is saying how we do business is correct, plenty on here want us to go and buy anyone because they think we will miss Jesus and Sterling but he is saying City have proven on several occasions if the player isn't there, we don't do the deal.

His statement was quite "we don`t do a deal for the sake of it". When the fuck, since Pep has been here have we ever done that ?
