I don’t care if he was injured or not before he joined although I do recall he was out at the end of Bournemouth’s season prior to city purchasing him.

Last season he was out when the squad needed him. He can’t be relied upon. Take the money and reinvest. Fans have fears about players leaving, I trust the boss to make the right call and also to recruit a decent replacement.

I am glad we are finally changing the squad. Some players need a fresh challenge.

Last season, he was very much IN when the squad needed him, andds he fucking excelled, in some big games. Last 2 games he wasnt fit, but otherwise he played pretty much half of our games, more than Stones in fact, and was excellent in many of them, with some absolutely crucial clearences.

If he wants to go, and goes, fine and best of luck to him. We will find a replacement, and make a profit. But let's not rewrite history and scrub put his contribution, because we wouldnt have won the title without him.

PS there is no such thing as 4th choice CB, as there isn't only 1 CB position, it is a deliberatly dishonest tag people use to unnecessarily belittle players they wrongly don't rate.

I really like the idea of a new RB. Even though Reeve James seems the obvious answer I didng think he was that good last season. He seems to lack something. But if that's who the guys want then I 100% trust them.

I heard he have an ambition to be Chelsea Captain in the future and there's no way Chelsea releasing a quality player like that. No matter how much they needed Ake as CB.

I predict Chelsea will only chase Sterling if that ever happen.

Agree this would be an amazing deal if we manage to pull it off.

I had a hunch something like this might happen and said as much to @blue oli, although I didn't count on Ake as well.

Makes we wonder if we're trying to negotiate Sterling + cash for James. Right back would be the only defensive position where we'd need to strengthen.

I like that. I think if we could also get Cucarella we’d be sorted at the back. He’s definitely going to play 3 at the back on occasions with the three remaining CBs and Walker in the mix. Probably Rodri too if required

the roman days it would have been done now so the money maybe isnt there now? The new guy and consortium are in no way shape of form going to be like roman in the market? Could be an absolute disaster to be honest as they will want to be making profits etc so maybe to improve the squad they take this type of deal and wont long term be paying the big wages.
