It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

it’s the nature of the situation we are in unfortunately- I don’t like it but no one’s going to pay top dollar for a guy they can get for free in 12 months and I’m surprised the player is welcoming the move - he’d get a shed load more cash next summer.

Then we just dont sell.

Whooptido they can get him for free next year. So can Real. So can Barca. BSG. Bayern. He could also extenf over the course of the year. They can get him now and have him for a whole season, and that had value.

And us not having to replace him at the same time as 2 new forwards are bedding into the team and Palmer may get more than 3 minutes has value to us too.

It will take over 50m for any movement to even be a consideration. Otherwise, no point.

He's from a Pennsylvania steel town so is presumably used to that level of post-industrial urban decline
Coatesville PA is a truly dreadful place. Been there. Never want to again. Never been to 'Boro but I have cousins who have and from what they say I think you're right on.

Jesus wept, some amount of absolute tosh on here about valuations.

But Mane is older! He's 30!!

So what?? KDB is 31, would you think £27m was a good price for him if he had a year left, just because he's 30+? Absolutely no fkn way! 30 these days means top players have another 4/5 years at the top, it's not the same as the 80/90s.

If we can get £45m for sterling with a year left on his contract, particularly as he wants to leave and he is no longer a "starter" that is a cracking deal imo, particularly when you look at Mane's price tag, 30 or not! Any more than that and we're absolutely pulling Chelsea's pants down

Could the Rafinha deal affect the Sterling deal or are they looking to get both with Raz playing on the left?
