Gabriel Jesus joins Arsenal

Shame he decided on Arsenal.

He did a good job for City and scored some memorable goals. You can only wish him well for the future.

Consistency has always been an issue. He did seem to perk up towards the end of season with the Arsenal move in the pipeline.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him kick on now but equally I wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed the same player as he is now.

A class act in every respect, and despite always seeming like a bit-part player for us, he's done bloody well to score nearly 100 goals in that time, including some very memorable strikes and game winners.

I think he deserves to be the main man somewhere. That's what he's always seemed to want. It wasn't to be with us, but hopefully he'll fill that role nicely at Arsenal, and they've done very well to acquire a player of his caliber.
 
He has been an essential part of the last five years, his work rate and skill added so much to the team. The stand out goal will be the last one for the Centurions - but he also had an outstanding start to last season with goals and assists, his performances in both Real Madrid games in 2020.

Would have loved him to stay, but understand his wish to try something different and be the main man elsewhere. All the best Gabriel - except when playing us of course.

and I note various press as usual haven't got a clue - one says "from goal poacher to all round attacker" No, idiots, he was never a goal poacher - he always played along the whole front line - City turned him into a much better player in all those roles.

Good luck. Clear from the start that he was never the successor we wanted for Aguero but vital to our success in recent years and deserves to go somewhere he’ll get more game time. Personally I feel like £45m is a fair price for him regardless of his contract situation and it’s particularly good business by the club with a year left on his deal.

I think he's got the potential to kick on and become a very good main man at Arsenal, but he needs the big move to go through that transformation. Needs to mature a bit and start welcoming pressure instead of being scared of it, and I think Arteta will put a lot of effort into making that happen.

It will be great for Brazil if it comes off.
