Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool are ready to compete for the Premier League again next season

He's repeating himself again. Didnt he say that last year?
They are always ready to compete for the Premier league, they just aren't good enough to win it.

Today's focus seems to be how Haaland must already be dismayed at the 'library' atmosphere outside the Etihad on the player introduction day compared to the cacophony of a matchday Dortmund. I don't think they grasp the like with like concept.
I know it was nothing like the fantastic atmosphere we hear every game at Klanfield (yeah right!), but I thought those attending made a decent amount of racket.

Admittedly, we watched it (not live) in Orlando Airport, while waiting for our flight back to Ringway, so maybe the noise levels were distorted by the distance or even added by City TV after the event.

Oh I'm glad we're getting something from them cos we've had a hellova time trying to cope with 4 titles in 5 years.
It must be so stress free only having won it once in 20 years the lucky basterds.
I talked to a Blackburn fan and he wasn't stressed about anything so maybe you're right.

Can you hear them talking 'bout us?
Telling lies, is that a surprise

Can you see them? See right through them
They have a shield, nothing must be revealed

It doesn't matter what they say
No one listens anyway
Our lips are sealed

There's a weapon that we can use
In our defense, silence

Well, just look at them, look right through them
That's when they disappear, that's when we lose the fear

It doesn't matter what they say
In the jealous games people play
Our lips are sealed

Brilliant that Ancoats.
Absolutely brilliant.
Speaks volumes about those deluded fuckers at the western end of The A580.

If City were to dominate the P/L for the foreseeable, where would be the satisfaction in that?
We need close competition.
That's what makes the league what it is.
The dippers finished close to City last season points wise, (only 1 less than us),, but closer than they should have.
Klopp is a decent manager. Pep respects him. I think Klopp has got a group there who will run through brick walls for him. He inspires them, makes them believe that they are world beaters, but for all his best efforts, the dippers aren't even close to us.That 1 point gap could easily have been 10 or even more points.
For many years I watched City.
I watched us when we were in the third tier, when we won promotion and the rags won the treble. I clung on to any small victory that I could during those days and it was impossible to comprehend 'ickle City ever getting a seat at the top table back then.
Well, here we are today, sitting at the head of that table and looking like we will be there for many years to come.
I relish the competition, from whichever team provides it.
For what it's worthI think that Spuds are a dark horse and the rags will probably finish in the bottom half.
As for the dippers?
They may hold on to 2nd, but it is by no means nailed on...

And it's not nailed on that we will win the league next season, its rare a team wins back to back titles let alone 3 on the bounce
