Official silly season question

There was a game under Pearce at home at the Etihad (I’m pretty sure it was Bolton or Middlesbrough)… neither side had a shot on target and we scored an own-goal and lost

God that was a turgid game

Boro under Keegan, they didn't have what was classed as a shot on target but we had a few.

Losing 1 nil to Bury in 1998, the firm I worked for at the time had a box and somehow I'd wangled my way in, such a shite game, food and free beer was good though.

Spinelessly losing that QF at Ewood Park. A lot of blue on blue hostility that day.
Yep. Was only 12 or 13 at the time but I've never forgotten the TV images of Joey Barton throwing his shirt into the crowd only to have it thrown back at him.

FA Cup quarter-final at home to West Ham in 2006 (?).

Kiki Musampa giving West Ham two separate chances to score in the space of about 30 seconds.

Can you remember a specific game /memory when you felt really let down by City and I don't mean an obvious one like the Spurs game or a last minute Derby defeat. One that has been completely irrelevant and had no bearing on our future.

I remember vividly playing Wigan at home in 2008 and feeling like we were really happy to draw that game 0-0. We showed absolutely no ambition to try and win the game and I remember coming away infuriated. It still annoys me to this day . We should have actually have lost if Zaki didn't miss an open net form 6 yards out.

So what's your personal city woe that still pisses you off today?
Losing to the rags 2-3 to win the title in front of them can’t really be beaten for me in terms of frustration.

Losing 2-0 at home to West Ham in the FA Cup QF also annoys me.

Sat in the upper tier of the rebuilt Kippax to watch us draw 0-0 with Sheffield United was probably the worst game of football I’ve ever seen.

League cup Semi 2020 v United. The crowd was dire, the atmosphere flat as a pancake, Different take but I don’t feel the fans made a showing that night.

Any Stuart Pearce home game in his last season. Only time I’ve ever hated going to watch us. Felt like a chore
