I am not so sure he'll be in such a rush to leave Leipzig just yet even its to City. He is at a club where he is guaranteed a place in the team.

Pep said in a press conference he needs a left footer in the backline. When Zinchenko was playign better than Cancelo in 20/21, We had Stones and Dias as CBs. When Cancelo was playing ahead of Zinchenko, Laporte was the only left footed option.

If we get Cucurella or another left footed left back, Stones and Dias will play a lot more.

Leipzig setting themselves up to lose Gvardiol & Nkunku next season on RC seems a bad move.

I can see them signing all of them, Bernie aside.

And I can believe them having an agreement with Kounde. If Chelsea could get Kounde for 65m as is his claimed release clause, They'd probably be pursuing that over 50m for Ake, even with his club trained status. If I was looking to read into shit there is nothing read into, that is.

If there was interest there, I would think the price would be the least of the concerns.

Getting 50m for Ake and paying 65m for a player of his profile on a new 5 year contract is easily within reach for the club, particularly this summer with all the other sales.

Think they still pay the "deferred salary" payments till the end of this year.
All the big earners agreed to the pay cut during COVID,with the promise it would be paid to them at a later date.

I think I saw the deferred payments are over the duration of individual player’s contracts.

I'm not really sure mate....I seen summat a couple of week back that said they have to pay Messi's by the end of 2022.....could be bollocks though.
Apparently when he left,they owed him 52m Euro in unpaid wages.
This apparently did not include his loyalty bonus.
