Because it’s a lifestyle choice and not one based on footballWhy would he want to leave the best club in the world

The interview had me worried though. Selling him at anytime would have been a huge blow. At this point it would be criminal to let him leave.SSN twats plugging a “could Bernardo Silva be on his way out of Manchester City” narrative this morning.
Bernie’s response was “what’s really important is that I’m planning my season as well as possible, and whilst I play for Manchester City I will always give my best. My relationship with the club, with the fans, with my team mates, is fantastic and I will always respect that.”
Maybe this season it will be criminal since we don't have a backup. The interview had me worried though. Selling him at anytime would have been a huge blow. At this point it would be criminal to let him leave.
Yeh, it was somewhat open-ended (ie he didn’t just simply say “I’m going nowhere”), but equally he didn’t sound like someone likely to agitate for a move, were PSG or Barca to come knocking properlyThe interview had me worried though. It's not that worrying because the club will be well aware and planning already for next summer. Sounds like they already have feelers out for Bellingham,I also think Foden will move into one of those spots. After watching that interview, there's no doubt in my mind that he wishes to leave if the right offer & opportunity arrives.
If they don't, he'll remain professional & respectful & do his upmost best for the club & the team, but that interview has left me fuckin gutted!
I hate saying this, but we'd better start his succession planning from now. It looks like we'll get another season out of him max until he's down to the final two years of his contract & we'll be forced to sell if he doesn't extend, which doesn't look lime happening.
KDB will be 32 next summer, so the thought of Bernie & Gundog leaving in 12 months is worrying& will mean a creative box to box midfield rebuild.
Fuckin Gutted! :-(
It's worrying to me all the same. I know nothing lasts forever & we'll be well aware of what Txiki needs to do as Rodri alluded to yesterday, but to replace the creativity of Gundog & Silva in the same window will take some doing. It's not that worrying because the club will be well aware and planning already for next summer. My thoughts exactly. At least it'll give us a season of succession planning. Nothing lasts forever & whoever gets him will be getting a fantastic professional & player. Its obvious he's looking for a new club but I doubt very much Bernard will be allowed to leave this summer. One more season I expect.
Tbf that interview gave them everything they needed. You can see if the right offer comes in then he's away.SSN twats plugging a “could Bernardo Silva be on his way out of Manchester City” narrative this morning.

If theres an offer i reckon he would take it.He will leave next season on our terms and when we have a replacement
It doesn't matter what he takes its what we take.If theres an offer i reckon he would take it.

Is Paris much better than England? Iv been twice and it's a shithole and its full of French people. The weather is just as shit and the food portions wouldn't fill a child. Ligue 1 is also shit.Gutted to listen to that interview, thought last season and the addition of Haaland would have brought a reset in his thinking.
Bernie clearly couching his words because he still thinks there might be an opportunity to leave this window.
That's why the claims we rejected Neymar for Bernardo doesn't smell right.
There's absolutely no way we would reject such a deal, zero.
Bernie and his missus would jump at Paris and the lifestyle he and his missus enjoy.
no way he goes to paris he just wants to go to spain that much is clear. but it will happen next seasonGutted to listen to that interview, thought last season and the addition of Haaland would have brought a reset in his thinking.

I'd be on the blower right now if it was ever an option. More surprised Soriano and Pep didn't snap hands off...
Over the last few weeks there's been word on BM that Bernie wasn't only staying for the season, but would be looking to extend. That interview's tossed his immediate City future up in the air, & now PSG suggesting a swap with Bernie makes sense.Gutted to listen to that interview, thought last season and the addition of Haaland would have brought a reset in his thinking.
