No one wants to go there.Thought Newcastle would have spent a fortune by now.
I think they are playing it well. Good and likable manager. Slowly building the squad. Easy to forget they were relegation material mid point of last season. If they can get well inside the top 10 this year then it's a massive improvement and just like us they will just keep plugging away in the transfer market. No one wants to go there.
His talent levels are well established. He'll get a deal barring injury. Beside, he is betting on himself. That's what confident people do.Its not a bright move though. He is plating for relegation fodder. If he has one bad season then nobody is going to go near him with the wages he demands. Could have signed a 4 year and gaurenteed some stable income regardless of his form
Never forget his contribution! The night he broke the teeth CannibalBen Mee signed for Brentford on a Bosman, two year deal, a smart signing for them.
Meanwhile, 2014 City legend and hero of Crystanbul, Dwight Gayle, has joined Stoke
Are they allowed to? May take a bit longer than the giddy Geordies thinkThought Newcastle would have spent a fortune by now.

Tuchel: “We got sanctioned and players left us, we know that some players are trying to leave us, and this is where it is. We had an urgent appeal for quality players and a huge amount of quality players. We've got two quality players – that is no doubt – but we are not competitive like this and, unfortunately, we could see it today." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...chel-questions-chelseas-ability-compete-next/
They are playing it very cleverly, they have learnt from our early mistakes, they will be a threat in the future.Thought Newcastle would have spent a fortune by now.
I'm not seeing that, with the current spending rulesThey are playing it very cleverly, they have learnt from our early mistakes, they will be a threat in the future.
they spent a lot of cash in January and spent it well, top 8 this year, then push on next summer.I'm not seeing that, with the current spending rules

I think there were issues regarding PL FFP. Also, there were complaints to the PL about their new owners & Newcastle skewing the transfer market, similar to what happened to us with UEFA.Thought Newcastle would have spent a fortune by now.
Maybe there waiting to pick up Chelsea cast offs when Chelsea are desperate to sellI think there were issues regarding PL FFP. Also, there were complaints to the PL about their new owners & Newcastle skewing the transfer market, similar to what happened to us with UEFA.
Luckily, they didn't have that loadsamoney fool that we did in our earliest days, scaring the bejesus out of everyone claiming City intended to buy every top player on the planet! In that respect again, it seems they've learned from our errors.
Dunno mate. If you recall, we had to pay top dollar in terms of transfers & wages for essentially England B players in Lescott, Barry, Milner etc, but it worked.Maybe there waiting to pick up Chelsea cast offs when Chelsea are desperate to sell
