I think Hillsborough also had a lot to do with it - it just made fans think what the fuck are we actually doing here...... working class lads kicking the crap out of working class lads. Meanwhile thatcher and her cronies were carving up the country and selling off the very assets that the people collectively already owned.... she divided the country to have us pitted against each other rather than rising up to rebel against them.
It's no coincidence that the first time the working class stood together and fought the poll tax she was gone......

She lost her post as PM because her own party lost its mind. Fuck all to do with the poll tax / working class.

The party knew she was unelectable because of the unpopularity of the Poll Tax - the party, however, was electable as Labour was ineffective.
Major wins and one of the first things he did after the 92 election was get rid of the poll tax
 
It would be nice for the club to give her some form of public acknowledgement for her long service. Curious that none of the journalists have commented about this on twitter?

No idea which journo or where but one said the great thing about vicky was that she could give a huge bollocking one week, and the next it was all forgotten about. She moved on.
