TV Series

Outer Range

One of those you watch through then question yourself why. Disjointed nonsense.
Just started watching this. First episode was slow, second got a bit more interesting.
Will probably stick with it as it's only 8 episodes.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but “Passport to Freedom” on Drama TV has been a brilliant watch. It’s about a 33 year old girl who gets under threat Jews out of Hamburg, she works in the Brazilian Embassy (Brazilian herself) and bends the rules to do so. There’s back stories and the persecution of the Jews and the lavish lifestyle of the Nazi Officers is not left to the imagination. Eight episodes at around 45 minutes, made by a Brazilian Film Company but in English with utterly brilliant actors none who I’d ever seen before. Well worth a watch if you like historical drama and based on a true story, she’s like a female Oscar Schindler.

Some one on here recommended, landscapers some great acting and an unusual storyline, well worth a watch, don't google it just watch it only 4 episodes, Olivia colman and David thewlls are brilliant.

I`ve said it before and I`ll keep on saying it ... probably my all time favourite tv show. Don`t forget to watch the film also.

Loved the show. The film was an epic let down for me. Wouldn't have missed it at all. Half wish I hadn't seen it.

It's because its in Italian they can get away with it very over the top writing. I'm sure a lot gets lost in translation. The writing, timing, setup and story are fantastic. Setting is perfect and the action is relentless.

I watched the finale this evening and in my opinion is the greatest TV show of all time.

Fair play with the Italian. I spend a lot of time there and have picked up quite a bit. It's a great language to learn as there is a lot of English sounds and words thrown in there so you don't end up absolutely lost!

What did you make of the ending, without spoiling it for others.

I thought it was spot on. Nowhere else they could or should have gone with it. Sums up the situation they were in for 5 seasons. The tension in the last 10 minutes was what it's all about. My mouth was dry, sent me one way then another and left me thinking about it for the rest of the evening into today.

What I will say is how fantastic this thread is. I would never have even tried to search it out and watch it without other people's recommendations. Different strokes for different folks and because there's many in this thread with differing tastes its a great go to, if you're stuck for something to watch. My favourite thread on here.

Really enjoying this, the guy who plays ‘Larry Hall’ is superb and very convincing (and scary).

I’m enjoying it, likewise, but I initially had the notion that it was a 3 parter, then, having not been convinced that E3 was a satisfactory ending I then sussed that it was a 4 parter, but then read on wiki that it’s a 5 parter then sussed that it’s actually a 6 parter.

All good viewing though and I wish it were a 12 parter.

I will add that to my list.
