Saw nothing today to change my view that this season will be similar to last. Us and Them posting big points totals. We'll probably get off to a slower start than them.

Also, that late goal for Nunez will be a real confidence booster on a transfer that could have gone either way really. They really seem to hit the ground running every time with their signings

Not really arsed about the result today, never read too much into the Charity Shield, even when we win it. It’s just another pre-season friendly ultimately. Going to be another two-horse race between us again though, and think it will be very close once more.

OK it's nice to have won something, but as we all know its the League, ECL, FAC that are the ones that the majority of fans/clubs will want to lift. To that end it I would agree, that I would be quite happy losing every game against City this year if it meant we beat you to the title. Another "one point" season would be good...... but with different coloured ribbons obviously.

Didnt get to watch the whole game due to work but it did look like there is little between the teams. Its going to be a case of whether the likes of Spurs, Chelsea & rags can challenge but once your midfield clicks with Haaland its going to be tough to macth/catch.
