To be honest, I'd prefer a left back who can defend. That would be the bare minimum. Do your job, give it to Cancelo/Grealish/whoever, then let them do some damage whilst you revert to position.

I understand your view. However we overload on the wings and need a fullback who can attack on the outside. Just the way I see it.

Saturday he was playing about 3 yards in front of the central defenders with Rodri ahead of him!! Not sure if it was lack of tactical awareness from one/both or some kind of tactic but it wasn’t pleasing on the eye.

Without Sterling and the best presser in the World Jesus, we will need to find a different way in this game. We are well off in terms of fitness and preparation.

Liverpool sat back in the second half and we struggled despite dominating possession. West Ham will set up similar and if we can't press they will be dangerous on the break.
