Decent owners the Glazers. Plenty has been spent on transfers and wages. Probably inline with what anyone that owned their club would have spent. The fans real beef with them is that they're not contenders at the moment.
You are right.
They should take up their beef of not being contenders through the appropriate channels, namely Masters Gill and VAR not their owners

Their problem has been lack of a sporting director, not lack of cash.
It's like they are just making things up as they go along. Like there is no long term strategy, no forward planning. It's as if they wake up to the tabloids saying us or the Chavs are about to sign someone for £50 million so they have to go out and spend £75 million on some yesteryear household name just to remain in the headlines. Regardless of whether the particular player is right for them, regardless of whether he's fit enough to go through a pretty gruelling Premier league season or not.

This is a club lacking direction, a club lacking a cohesive plan for the next decade or so. A club so petrified of being left behind they panic-buy any 35+ player who once had an illustrious past for absolute megabucks and cross their fingers and hope it all works.

The media have clearly been briefed to now attack Wantawayron. All pre-season the media never questioned the personal reasons why Wantaway wasn't on tour. They merely repeated what the rags said. Everyone knew he was effectively on strike but no one would say it.
Now they have been re-briefed, attack Wantaway from all sides. James Ducker tweeted that 4 other rag players left early but there is not one mention of that in his Tekegraph piece attacking PR37.
What an shithouse club, not one ounce of honesty and decency in it.

Going into the new season City need a left back.
The Rags need 2 forwards, one midfield play maker and a defensive midfielder (minimum) and a back four.
The goal keeper is not top 2 standards, but is the least of their problems as you say there has been no plan or continuity.
