Thought the same. I think him and probably Foden showed too much respect to the giant wearing 9.

He will play more when Pep goes double invereted fullbacks, because he is better than Bernie in the final third.

This might help Bernie more as well, perhaps he dislikes playing as a box to box midfielder, so transitioning back to our system a couple years back of playing two 10s will let him develop his attacking qualities more.
